I’ve been using this rechargeable pen flashlight for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. It’s way brighter than I expected for something this small — the spotlight is perfect for checking tight spaces under the sink, and the side COB light lights up my entire workbench when I’m fixing things in the garage. I love that I can stick it to my toolbox with the magnet when I need both hands free. The clip is strong too. The stepless dimming is nice — no more blinding light when I turn it on at night. Charging is quick with the Type-C, and it lasts a solid few hours on one charge. The glow-in-the-dark ring around the floodlight is a nice touch — easy to find in the dark. I’ve even used it in light rain and it held up great. Highly recommend if you want a tough, bright light that fits in your pocket and just works.

This pen light is bright! Great quality, weight and durable for everyday use at work. It’s very easy to adjust the light between low and high, and if you keep it on for a few moments, it knows you aren’t trying to use the longer light so you can easily turn it off with a press of the button. The magnetic clip is very strong and clips to everything it needs to, very easy to remove and use.

Wasn’t sure what to expect with this for the price but took the chance. It is fairly bright and lasts quite a long time, I use it at work multiple times a day. It will last me the whole week and I just charge it up before next week. It’s built well and I really have no issues with it. The light modes I don’t really care about but I really like the delay where it shuts off so if you have it on for 5 seconds the next press turns it off so you don’t need to go through the cycles. The magnet is strong and has come in handy a few times. The rubber seal for charger is fine, seems above average but I worry long term that it will break off but so far it’s fine. This thing while is small isn’t super small, it’s a little too bulky to fit in a pocket on a shirt designed for a pen. It is edgy enough where it doesn’t slide out of your pocket versus an all metal one like a maglight. I would consider purchasing again easily if i lost this or it broke even, I’ve had it for months now and still doing the job.

Nice light. Very bright. I use mostly the enlightened and not the COB lights. Even though that is the least bright i am still unsatisfied with battery life. I do like how the light flashes once in a while when the battery is low. Though the price is higher for this compared to other pen lights, the value for the money is good, it has good functionality. The pocket clip is just about worthless as there is a big gap between that and the body of the pen light. The magnet is pretty good, bit should be a little stronger. I've dropped this once from waist height and it still works, so the durability is reasonable. This light is probably too bright to be used to look in someone's eyes.

This review concerns light output. I received this product, charged the battery, tested the light and put the product back into the box. There was no other use of this product. I wanted to find a replacement for an older Larry light that I thought was failing because the leds would flicker off and on. I did some research and settled on the Favourite Pen Light because it was rated at 800 lumens and also had a spot/flashlight. It also had a high review rating. It seemed like a pretty bright light but I wanted to compare it to other lights. I compared it to a similar light from HF Braun rated at 300 lumens and to the old Larry light. Best I could find out on line, the Larry light might have 360-400 lumens, but I'm not sure. The comparison was done with either fully charged rechargeable batteries or new AA batteries and only involved the flood light as the Larry light does not have a spot/flashlight. I tested the lights in various ways and the results were consistent. The least bright was the 800 lumen Favourite Pen Light. The middle light, noticeably brighter than the 800 lumen Favourite Pen Light, was the 300 lumen HF Braun light. The noticeably brightest of the three was my old used and abused Larry light. New batteries seem to have solved the flickering problem. After cleaning the light I took a close look at the name on the light to verify it was a Larry light. I then noticed the oval wrapped around the name also said "by NEBO". I've returned the Favourite Pen Light and will resume my search for a Larry replacement particularly one that has more accurate lumens rating and also has a spot/flashlight feature. Certainly a second look at the NEBO products is warranted If someone is less concerned with actual lumen output and just wants a small pen light, the Favourite Pen Light might do fine. One other thing to mention. There was no company or manufacturer identification on the box other than a small sticker. Same with the minimal instruction sheet. See photo.
