Looks beautiful and very sturdy, well made. We anchored the unit to the wall and removed trim along with assembly. Assembly was not easy, but two of us managed to put it together without too many mistakes. Follow each instruction in exact order and do not get ahead of each one. There is a reason the missing wood slats go in last! Lots of different screws and picture guide to describe each. Counting screws/etc. in advance and comparing to guide helped us distinguish between all. All boxes arrived on freight truck that called ahead to arrange delivery. Boxes are heavy and while driver was willing to help move them to upstairs bedroom, we could have used an extra hand. All the pieces/parts needed where in the boxes and nothing was damaged. Very happy with this product.

This bed is a beautiful Sturdy bed, BUT the worst EVER directions to put together. We had to call customer service several times to figure out the shocks/pistons. The worst nightmare to figure out. Actually we had to take apart most of the bed and start over. Good luck to everyone who is not put together savvy. We now know why people buy already made Murphy Beds and pay tons more money. I love it, don't get me wrong. You will have to drill it into the studs in your wall, but God. You get the box, and there's a note on the box to download new directions. When you go to the website, out of the five possible, non of them say recently dated or v1.2. There's nothing there to help you understand which one is the most recent. On several occasions, I had to purchase additional screws. It gave me these small screws with a square bit to drill the murphy bad to the wall into the baseboards. I had to go to the hardware store to get bigger and heavier ones. Like the kind you use for mounting at TV.

This murphy bed matches the shaker style doors and baseboards we installed in our new home. It took 3 men to carry it inside the house. (My two men are small framed 120-140 lbs and needed the electrician's help). It took 8-9 man hours to put together. Fabulous result! I love this style bed. I had to have it even though it was several hundred more expensive than other beds that did not have as nice cabinet design. I can pull the bed down easily. Con: there are dark large screws on the 2 sides of the bed that did not come with screw covers. One small screw cover broke while I pounded it in with a rubber mallet so I need to go find some more at a hardware store. Now to go find a good mattress! Beautiful piece of functional furniture. I hope it lasts many, many years!

Figuring out the hardware was not easy because it wasn’t sorted. The bottom piece was missing so we couldn’t stand it up. Since it took almost 2 weeks to get a replacement piece, we had to go to the hardware store and buy a piece so it wasn’t taking up the entire floor of the room we put it together in. It looks very nice and was relatively easy to put together. You obviously need a big space and at least two people. It would not hold up well to being moved but is sturdy.

It looks elegant an it is easy to pull down. Once we get the 10” mattress, pulling it down will be even easier! It had all the parts needed to assemble! My husband, along with our church friend, who is mechanically very gifted had no problem reading the instructions and putting it together. My husband is 6’1” and I am 5’3”, we fit great! If we didn’t have our friend I don’t think we would have been able to do it by ourselves. So make sure you know what you are doing, or you know someone who does. Now we are ready for some guests! I had high hopes based on other reviews. Package arrived with damage to box, delivery guy did open to inspect and we saw a slight scratch on door from the packing damage. I had ordered this for a family member who would be visiting and wouldn’t have had time to return and re-order not have something else delivered in time. I have a handyman who does outstanding work and has incredible attention to detail- he has done flawless work for us so I assure you it was not him. Pieces don’t join well, right door had top shaker door accent piece just fall off, white caps for screws didn’t fit in screws to hide them, bottom of right side door trim is off, and screws for handles were missing. We had to make due given the timeline restrictions, I can’t believe how much we paid for this for the quality we received. Severely overpriced for the quality (or lack there of). I would NOT recommend buying this product.

The bed looks great and works well. It takes some time to put together, but directions are good, and everything fit except I had to drill 3 holes slightly larger for the wood dowels to fit. A good product.
