With the slightest of breath perfect notes float and swirl about like a chorus of angels. Never have I heard a more perfectly tuned flute. I have 6 other drones by 4 different makers - none come close, there is no caparison. While the slightest breath produces the sweetest tone, surprisingly, a hard strong breath produces great volume without squealing, chirping, warbling or any other negative nuisance. That is most unusual. Gentle flutes are easily overblown, while poorly made ones take a full breath for a single note. Somehow the maker crafted this one in such a way both the novice and the master sound as one. Finger holes are small, easily covered, close together, and not far down the body. This large flute can be played by both a child and an adult, male or female, hands small or large. Never has there been such a large flute so playable. His flutes are one of a kind handmade musical instruments. This is my 7th purchase from the craftsmen, each one better than the last, although the first a "D" made of walnut is still my favorite instrument in the world ( I play and own many different types of instruments).
