  • Overall quality
***update, update***,took out on the StClair river, averagecurrent is around 1/2mph,even pedaling upstream.handled and tracked very well!!very stable.track gear placementis not good.make sure you take a paddle with you to propel yourself, when your ready to beach!!.you have to pull the pedal drive out,or you'll damage it!!!seat will need adjustingt to feel like your not laying down.not much space to store gear and tackle, pretty much limited to a crate or something. *update*,tracks really well, steering is really good, pedal drive us smooth and fluid.notiiced in waves,it like to bow dive, but pops right back up.!!be prepared to get wet,as seat doesnt keep you as high as it looks.drains off great.1 thing i noticed, rudder will take some scratches, coming over obstacles or landing.there is a couple places on the rudder, you may be able to rig a line or something to pull rudder up.make sure you have a paddle as well.once you get close to landing, your going to want to pull everything up.Overall, like the look of the kayak.looking forward to the pedal drive(fin).seat looks comfortable and made for long days on the water.has track system to put your favorite equipment on, i.e. fish finders, rod holders.not much for storage.since there's no compartments. There are some places to put a small tackle box.has 2 cup holders,1 on each side of seat.nice area to put a crate or yakattack box to hold more gear.rudder system looks little flimsy, kinda concerned about the bare cables with rust or dirt.has a bungee setup on back to hold things.2 flush mount rod holders behind seat, still easily accessible. Will update more, after I've had a chance to see how it handles and tracks ... show more

  • My favorite!
I've have a few different kayaks and this is my first pedal drive kayak. I absolutely love it! I used almost every other weekend last year. I used silicone lube on the gears and loosened some things up just a tad. Watch some YouTube videos from Zofinger about it.

  • Cheap plastic
This is the first kayak I have ever bought, got it back in May, have used it maybe 10 times and I took a 4 hour road trip to fish with some buddies and within 10 minutes of being on the water my steering mechanism fails and I have no way to steer it. Can’t find any replacement parts

  • Light, simple, versatile, GREAT
Great kayak for simplicity. Lightweight at 68 pounds so it’s really easy to transport, I car top it alone no problem. Chair is great, deck space is great. I am 6’1 200lbs and tried to stand up in it, not even close to happening for me. I tried to just get up and use the seat while it’s closed for a higher elevation, even that did not work out well, it was way too tippy sitting that high. Stability is great from the original seated position, but gets less and less the higher you get, as expected. Don’t plan on buying this for standing alone. The front deck will take on splashes and some water from the pedal hole, but will wash away and dry quickly, don’t expect to have a dry run, be prepared to get a little wet. Pedal drive is awesome! Steering is awesome! Rudder works great, but it does not have a self deploy or pull up while you’re out on the water. You will have to modify that yourself. This yak can get up in tight skinny areas and if you’re a saltwater fisherman like me, it’s an absolute sniper in the backwaters and marshes, perfect for that. Overall insane deal at the $600 it was listed for at my time of purchase. Buy it EDIT: got my sea legs. I moved up to the seat folded down, absolutely awesome. Then tried standing up, I stood up all day long in this thing with some light wind and in a tidal zone, and I’m not a small guy. Absolutely love this boat. Is taking the rock and oyster scrapes like a champ too. ... show more

  • Great touring kayak for lake sightseeing.
This is my first kayak. Being 61 years old and 260 lbs. and a history of two back surgeries, a pedal kayak appealed to me over a paddle only kayak. It seems perfect use as a lake touring kayak for Lake Superior shoreline exploration and other lakes in Minnesota. Having a pedal drive and keeping the weight down were priorites. See the photos. Paratrooper line and some inexpensive screw-down deck loops were used to rig the rudder so it can be raised and lowered by pulling one monkey's fist or the other down by the front right corner of the seat. Strips of Amylove Keel Guard tape were applied to the hull low spots and front keel for some scrape protection. A two wheeled strap on dolly was bought for about $60, and the boat is ready for the first trip in 2026. The boat doesn't come with a kayak paddle but I had one already. The Hydrive was adjusted too, and lubricated to loosen it up a small bit. I can't wait to take this kayak out on the water! ... show more

  • Value at first but…
I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs — and unfortunately, this kayak just isn’t made for guys my size or anyone who’s serious about fishing comfort and performance. 🪑 Seat Failure Mid-trip, the seat straddles snapped and I had to lay down and pedal just to get back to shore. The frame feels flimsy and lacks the reinforcement needed for anything but light use and lounging around your yard. 🚫 Not Stable standing is risky. The hull looks wide but lacks secondary stability. Tried it once — nearly went swimming. Do not recommend standing unless you want to end your trip soaked. 🧰 Awkward Mounting Layout Gear tracks are placed so awkwardly that mounting a fish finder actually interferes with your paddle stroke. The layout feels like an afterthought rather than something made for real anglers. 💦 Rear Tankwell Always Wet The rear deck takes on a lot of water, especially with gear weight. Your crate and tackle will stay wet unless you’ve got everything packed in dry bags. Poor scupper placement or drainage design. Sure, it’s a “value” at around $1,000, but if you’re even slightly serious about kayak fishing, you’re better off spending a few hundred more on something like a 3waters or even a Hoodoo ... show more

  • Don’t use instructions
Don’t even try to follow the instructions (any of the multiple versions included), just look at the pictures of the finished product. Frustrating for no reason. High speed, turns great, floats great.
