Nice size, well made and light. I like that the bottom portion is harder than the top, with the top of the case flexible. Plenty of handles for lifting the case. The blue is a nice color. I did find the zippers a little stiff and got caught on material so had to fiddle with that, might loosen out with time. The straps that click in place to lock the top to the bottom could use bigger locking mechanisms to make it easier to unclick for those of us with arthritis in the hands. Very satisfied will see if it stands the test of time with international travel. ... show more

Bag is great, but don’t bring on a plane for check in bag because it will get super dirty and stained as it did for our first ever time using it while flying just an hour way. A good travel bag for car rides. Very sad how fast it was marked up already 🙂🥲

I really wanted to like this suitcase but I just didn’t. After 10 years of abuse, my old one finally had to be replaced. I love Pelican products in general and Ibreally liked the look and feature set of this bag. I bought it on sale and had only two color options available - navy and sand. Navy? Meh. I went with Sand knowing that the lighter color might show dirt more than a darker color but it just had a more sophisticated look to it. I figured that I could just clean it off if it got dirty. Wow, was I ever wrong?! I used this case for one trip. By the time I got home, it looked like it had been through a war zone. Black soot peppered the top of it and practically every hard edge was scarred with deep black marks. When I collected it at baggage claim, I was actually embarrassed to pull it off the conveyor because it looked so dingy. Just clean it off, right? Wrong. This stuff doesn’t clean off. Sure, some of it wiped off the top but the deep black scars on the edges are embedded in the fabric permanently. This is after ONE trip! I couldn’t imagine what it would like after a year of travel - gray then black, I suppose. Anyway, besides that, it’s a nice suitcase. I found the main zippers stiff and they rolled under the track a couple of times and got stuck. I had to pull up on the top to re-align it and then pull the zippers. I didn’t care for that. It’s spacious in size. No complaints there. I also really liked the hard plastic underside from a durability perspective; however it’s smooth and slick which means that if you put it in a truck bed or a cargo space in a SUV, just be prepared for it to slide all over the place when you hit the brakes or step on the accelerator. The pull handle and wheels are solid. Rolls smoothly and effortlessly. The additional fabric carry handles are a bit underwhelming. There’s no cushioning or structure to them. Pretty much what you would expect on a gym bag. All in all, I decided the Cons outweighed the Pros. So I returned it. ... show more

If I were to buy again I would not get the blue, it shows the normal dirt and grim of heavy travel badly. I travel for work heavily 75+% of my work is away from home. I do heavy industrial maintenance and installation, my bag is always at or near 50lbs. So far 4 months in with at least 18 flights in plus driving trips it is holding up well. The only issue so far is a slight glitch in the zipper that I got worked out. If it had Pelican's normal warranty and did not show grim so bad it would have gotten 5 stars at this point. ... show more

Very well built! A great design with hard and soft features keeping the weight down but delivering protection in the high wear areas. Overall, the quality seems to be very good, I expect the durability to be very good, although we've not used it yet. Owned less than 2 month and the wheel broke. Returned it and got charged for the damage. I expect more from Pelican as a 25 year Vet of the entertainment industry. Their shipping cases are good. This product is not!

Wonder luggage and people compliment the bag every time I travel. That being said the back pack isn’t to be desired. No pockets but a main pocket in the back pack.
