  • Great value - why pay more for bigger?
I'm not a computer guy - I just like using them for surfing and streaming. My old tower recently failed and I was a bit put off by the cost of a new one. In the meantime I bought this as a fill in but in fact it's everything the old one was and more. My old tower had similar specs and this seems to be an upgrade of all of it. Like other reviewers I found the installed Windows to be free of any crap - I was able to quickly link to my existing Google and Chrome. There is no noise at all from the fan - I basically have to put my hand next to the vents to know its working. I added a USB hub and everything works great. It's amazing to me that this little inexpensive box could replace my big old all purpose tower. I have ordered another one just to expand my home network - considering how much it does it seems like a super buy. Thank you for reading. ... show more

  • Great Mini PC
I had a mini pc already but it couldn't upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and that started to be an issue as several things stopped working well unless you were running 11. It also didn't have a USB-C port which was fine when I first got it as USB-C was still pretty new but now almost every peripheral and other device I use has a USB-C cable and I had to use adapters to connect them tho the old mini PC. It also had a really weird start-up that took forever. So I thought it would be a good time to replace it. I have a high-powered fancy laptop with all the bells and whistles that I use for most things but the mini PC I mostly use down in my office for lighter tasks. I need it for internet browsing, I sometimes stream videos or music while I'm working on things, and I use it for clerical-type things with stuff like Microsoft Office. It doesn't need to be a workhorse or have great processing, memory, or anything else. So for what I do with it in my office, this is absolutely great. Would it be a great creator PC, no... of course not. It lacks the necessary specs for doing a good job of rendering, handling multiple video files, dealing with large music files, etc... Would it be a good gaming PC? Maybe, I mean it kind of depends on what you play. Would it be great for playing an MMORPG, probably not. Would it be good for playing casual games, yeah. I have both Steam and GOG on it and I play point-and-click adventure games old and new on it without issue. I play puzzle games, hidden object games, and even some platformers and RPGs. If you're not looking to play a massive game that requires a lot of power and great graphics processors you're probably good. If you invested in an external GPU maybe you could manage some of those AAA games but this just isn't really designed to be a gaming machine so I wouldn't recommend it if that's your main purpose. ... show more

  • Working great so far!
Works fine for what it is, a small "PC" with laptop guts. These are so cheap now, you can have them for dedicated purposes all over the place. This one will strictly be for light CAD work and some vector design. These are great for just web and email, nothing fancy. The only thing I do wish it had, however, was the ability to put another stick of hard drive on it. It would be nice for storage expandability or dual boot. No major complaints. I ran some benchmarks and put the results in the photos. ... show more

  • Great value...
This mini PC is almost unbelievable in its value proposition. It has a 512gb SSD disk, 16gb DDR4 RAM, and Windows 11 Pro. Just buying the above mentioned components and software retail would cost more than the cost of this mini PC. If you're looking for gaming, this PC is for very light gaming only. However, if all you do is Web-surfing, email, video streaming, office software and social media, this mini PC is a very economical option. When I ran a popular benchmark test of this mini PC, it ranked in the 13th percentile. So, it's not going to be a performance demon. It is adequate though and a lot of people don't need gaming or workstation performance. So, it doesn't make sense to pay for all of that additional performance. It takes up very little space and comes with all you need to mount it to the back of a monitor (even has the bracket, screws and HDMI cable). The only option is HDMI connection to this mini PC but a lot of monitors and almost any TV will have an HDMI connection. I also found it to be very quiet. I could only hear the fan running when I was running the benchmark testing. Setup was easy and here's a tip if you don't want to be hounded to create a MS account: When you first power-up the PC, connect a monitor (or TV), mouse and keyboard but do not connect it to a network (wired or wireless). Instead, when it gets to the point of setup where it wants to connect to a network, click on, "I don't have a network" (internet). It will take you down the path of creating a local account to login to the PC rather than forcing a MS account. There are other ways around this but I've found this to be the easiest. Once you've logged in locally, you can then hookup the internet access but MS will bug you later to "finish setting up your PC" so do a search for, "disable asking finish setting up your device" to learn how to shut this nag off. I was pleasantly surprised to not see bloatware preinstalled on this PC. I normally have to spend a lot of time uninstalling a lot of that garbage. Believe me, most of it just bogs down a PC (especially a lower end PC like this one). Overall, I highly recommend this mini PC. I had a lot of fun setting it up and testing it! ... show more
