Bought to transport 2 1 year old cats to the vet. I unpacked, easily set it up, very lightweight; attached a couple cat toys to and in it, then set in the corner in living room, let my girlz explore it. They now are comfortable to go in and out of it on their own. They should be easier to get the both of them in it together for trip to vet, I Hope! It will probably take both my hubby and I to carry safely for us and the girls.

There are so many versions of carriers, it made it difficult to decide which to buy. This was the perfect choice for what I needed, which was a carrier to hold 2 cats comfortably during my move. It is too big to use as a carrier for taking cats to the vet, but perfect for travel. Easy in and out with the zippered flaps on top and sides. This one has a strong metal frame that pops up easily like a lawn chair does. Highly pleased. Buy smallest size if looking for a carrier to take to vet or groomer.

This is a very nice large cat carrier. The measurements match the product description (approx. 24”W x 16”L x 16”H). The carrier is well made with a sturdy metal frame (approx. 2 inch circumference) and durable stitching and fabric materials. It comes with a removable bi-fold bottom piece that has soft fleece material on one side and a smooth fabric material (very similar to the interior lining) on the other. While there is a little give in the bottom when you lift the carrier with a cat occupant, the bi-fold boards and the tight fabric material do a good job of supporting the cat’s weight. The mesh openings appear to be reasonably durable, offer plenty of light, and should allow the cat a decent view while in transit. There are velcro strips on the mesh openings and the sides of the bag so that you can roll up and affix the openings. The zippers all glide smoothly, and having the plastic lobster clasps to prevent the zippers from being accidentally opened is a nice touch. The bag also includes straps with plastic side release buckles so that you can secure the carrier to the back seats with seat belts. Carrying the bag around is convenient thanks to the two reinforced handles (with comfortable rubber grips) or a removable adjustable shoulder strap. Folding and extending the frame is easy. Simply push down (or pull up) the bar until the red lock slides into place with a “click”. To release the locks, you would slide the red lock lever away from the joint and disengage the bars. One thing to note, the bars on one side of the bag locked easily, but the other side would not lock by itself (either the top or bottom bars). I had to fully extend the bars and slide in the lock myself. The good news is once the lock is fully engaged, they do not slide out by themselves. I would highly recommend this PEGIC Soft Sided Collapsable Large Cat Carrier. In general, it is well made and reasonably durable. It is easy to use and comes with many convenient and thoughtful features. Just be sure to check that the frame bars can engage by themselves with a “click” and get a replacement if there are any issues. Great - 9.0

Large Cat Carrier for Car Travel, Pegic Soft Sided Collapsible Pet Carrier is seriously impressive. It arrived in a flat tightly fitted box. When pulled out, it really just resembles a small brief case at a distance. Open it up, however, and it is very impressive. It is framed by metal collapsible tubes. It’s hardware is all metal and appears very sturdy. It has openings at the top, the sides and the front. The openings can be rolled up and secured with Velcro so that your pet can turn it into a little house. The description also says that the carrier is breathable. Yes, this is completely true. There is ample mesh on every side so that the carrier should not get hot or stuffy. As to the size, this will fit two small cats or dogs or one midsize dog, such as a beagle. Order it – you won’t be disappointed. There is nothing to dislike about this product. Fit and Finish: Excellent. Suitable for Purpose: Yes. Met Expectations: Exceeded. True to size: Yes Overall: Overall I really like this product and give it five out of five stars. I got this cat carrier for my 20+ lb senior cat thinking that it would be more comfortable for her if she had a bigger carrier to rest in for whenever we take her to the vet or the groomer. This is the Titanic of cat carriers! It is ginormous and the metal frames when snapped securely in place can easily hold and support her weight! If you're thinking about flying your cat with this carrier however, it is not going to fit as a carry on because it will definitely not fit under the seat in front of you. This ginormous carrier is meant more for road travel. I like that there are seat belt straps on one side of the carrier for you to be able to loop the seat belt around this carrier for peace of mind while you're driving. While this carrier is huge, it can be collapsed away and takes up much less space for when you're not using it. I highly recommend this carrier and our cat will be going on her maiden voyage in this tomorrow for her vet appointment!
