My parents are addicted to Bejeweled, so I recently purchased Bejeweled 3 for them. In my quest to secure a copy of Bejeweled 3, this game.. Peggle kept showing up over and over. Curiosity got the best of me, and just looking at some gameplay footage I was sold! Peggle reminds me a bit like the famous game "Plinko" from 'The Price is Right' but instead of simple pegs you now have pinball bumpers and use a pinball. The game is a simple concept that provides countless hours of fun and will test your skills early. Basically all you do is aim your ball and fire! The ball will bounce on the pegs getting points, bouncing all over. Accumulate 25,000 pts in a single shot to earn a free ball. The goal of every stage is to eliminate all the "orange" pegs on the map. Removing your last orange peg will trigger a frenzy mode which lets you rack up tons of bonus points. Peggle contains 10 stages plus a "master" stage(ADVENTURE mode). Stages 1 thru 10 introduce you to the 10 "peggle" masters, each with their own unique magic ability, while stage 11 lets you pick your ability. If you complete all 11 stages you will unlock the CHALLENGE mode. In Challenge mode you have 75 levels each having a requirement placed upon it. Some are easy, some are hard. Most of them involve revisiting old levels from the "ADVENTURE" mode, but now with odd requirements (like score 300,000+ pts on stage 5-1, or starting with just a single ball beat Stage 2-4). There is no online element with the game, but if you select DUEL mode you can play against the computer or a second person (Local Versus mode basically). High Score charts are included with each level, with every level requiring you surpass 300,000 pts for a top score. OVERALL this is a very enjoyable game for all ages. The stages start easy and get harder and harder as you go, with each requiring a bit of luck + skill. This is just a very simple game that will keep you entertained for countless hours. The adventure mode can last you quite a few days, but then toss in 75 challenge maps and you'll be busy for weeks. Another excellent game by Pop Cap. I first became a Plants VS Zombies addict. So then I decided to try out another Pop Cap game which I had heard good things about. I don't really like puzzle games but I figured I'd give Peggle a chance. As soon as I started playing it, I knew Pop Cap had hit another home run! This game is sooooooooooooooo much fun and soooooooooooooooo addicting. It's art style is also a perfect match for the game. The combination of skill and luck is balanced perfectly. I love Peggle. Buy it. Oh, the only bad thing is, I hate making that Unicorn cry when I have to leave the game (wish I could give him a virtual hug and let him know I will be back soon!).

I would play this game at my grandma's house all the time. I found myself buying both 'Peggle' and 'Peggle Nights' for my ipod (Yes, it's on itunes.) and am thoroughly addicted. What's so great about this game is that it could be thought of as a brain teaser. You have to adapt yourself in each level and try to figure out which moves and angles will get you to complete the it. As cutesy as the game looks, it's challenging and worth the price. I recommend this amazing PC game to young and old.

This is an excellent casual title for all ages. I recently hooked my entire family on the game: a female college student, two middle-aged frequent casual gamers, and even my elderly grandfather who has limited mobility and computer proficiency. I can't recommend this enough for the price. While the graphics and "characters" fall firmly on the silly side of the spectrum, the game mechanic is riveting -- simple to grasp and challenging to master. This game could be marketed as a cure for depression; it's impossible not to feel affirmed by the exceptionally -- perhaps extravagantly -- positive feedback the game constantly provides.
