Description
Made In Italy. The Viaggio Flex 120 has the unique capability to fully accommodate a child's growth with its 4D Total Adjust Technology. This means the booster can be adjusted in four different locations: 1) the headrest can adjust to five different positions vertically, 2) the upper backrest adjusts three positions vertically, 3) the side wings can expand out three positions, 4) the seat can recline five positions. These adjustments can be made independently from each other, allowing for a truly original experience in comfort. Securing the Viaggio Flex 120 to the car is made easier with the integrated rigid LATCH, equipped with a blind lock attaching system which prevents the seat from being accidentally released by another passenger. The rigid LATCH can tuck back into the base, allowing for an easy installation with just the seat belt. An aluminum-reinforced backrest ensures safety and protection against whiplash in the case of a front-end accident and additional protection in the event of a rear-end collision. EPS throughout the side wings and headrest also serves to absorb energy during a crash. The backrest of the Viaggio Flex 120 can fold down onto itself when not in use, even while attached via rigid LATCH. Transporting and storing the seat is also made easier because of the folding capability, making the booster one of the most practical around.

I pulled it out of the box set it on my front porch and proceeded to fall asleep in it for an hour it is more comfortable than my La-Z-Boy recliner. Adult perspective adult reveal my specific vehicle. It makes it so that I can see over the steering wheel and it properly positions, the shoulder belt because of the shoulder belt guide adult total sitting hight less than 32”.. shoulder sitting hight 22”.. with physically the same chest torso, + Head of 12 year old it’s rib cage guards fit me and it’s smallest position with the back and headrest and highest position despite that the national Highway traffic safety administration is convinced you can’t operate a vehicle from a booster seat. It honestly would be safer for a lot of us. these are attachable, especially with retro kits also available yes you could attach these safely into a driver seat. Can somebody please tell me why the National highway Traffic safety administration completely denies the fact that short drivers exist. My weight is 10-20 lbs over product intended weight. It supports me perfectly. It feels like I’m sitting in a race. Carseat absolutely 100% awesome even if the National highway Traffic safety administration made it so that it wasn’t so-called illegal for a driver to operate in a booster seat, especially considering their loss, says that a driver can use any device to make it so they can properly see over the steering wheel and seatbelt position but yet it says at the same time that you’re not supposed to use a high back booster seat, which is safer than foam wedge cushions think about that and if this fits me and it’s nowhere near maximum position, it is currently it’s highest back and headrest height, but it’s rib cage guard fits me in. It’s smallest position if you add my entire weight and height I’m only the size of a 16-year-old yet. I am a full grown driving adult nowhere near 16 way over. Why don’t adults deserve the same protection in a vehicle that a child can get. How’s your view of the road and seatbelt position?

Perfect for sports car

Fits great in our Camaro! We’ve been looking for a big kid seat for our Camaro that doesn’t have back seat head rests that will grow with our child into a booster is no longer needed. This seems to fit better than any other seat and has perfect stats for height and weight. I love the design and overall asthetic. The rigid latch was perfect for the Camaro latch connections and the width of the bottom works great with the seat belt. The top width also works great with the shape of the back that has a slope. Overall, I highly recommend this seat!! The price is really high, but the stats mean we never need another seat.

Best high back booster for older/taller children especially, better in every aspect than competition

I wrote a longer review on the Shuttle Plus, but we ended up keeping both the flex and shuttle plus. Both are exceptional products head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, better in literally every way from any of the other older child dedicated boosters we tried. Maximum adjustability, tallest height accommodation, easiest and sturdiness installation, best comfort and protection by a mile. The flex is almost identical to the shuttle plus, but has the advantage of no arm rest making it easy for my daughter to buckle herself. We intend to keep our children in high back seats for as long as possible based in the studies that show no protection from backless seats, and 60% reduction of injuries from high back seats. This one has the Best fit, best comfort, easiest installation, easily fits 3 across, super high build quality, and able to accomodate taller children easily unlike most other boosters. I am extremely thankful for Peg creating this product to help protect my child as much as possible. Highest possible recommendation for this product.

Even better than Clek - And that says something!

I'm a car seat psycho (for safety) and I've tried multiples of every version of seat (infant, convertible, HBB...) to find the very best of the best. After 3 different HBBs, this Peg Flex is the holy grail. Here's why: It doesn't have arm rests so your kid can actually do the buckle unassisted. This is huge because you go from a kid that can do their convertible seat straps to a kid that needs to be assisted in finding the buckle every.single.time. in every boosterthat has arm rests. This seat and the Maxi Cosi Rodifix are thus winners in this category. The Flex has a more narrow footprint than others because it doesn't have armrests. Need 3 kids to ride? Need 2 to sit next to one another? You're golden. You can park the Flex next to a variety of seats without issue. I have one next to a Nuna Pipa and a Clek Foonf in a Land Rover Discovery (which doesn't have the broadest back seat). The Flex adjusts in 4 directions so your picky big kid can decide exactly how the seat is best for them. As with all Peg Perego products, the fabrics are OUTSTANDING. We have the "licorice" version of the Flex, which is a combo of really soft, highly padded fabrics touching the body and edges with really gorgeous leather finished with white top stitching. This seat isn't more expensive than its competitors, buy it looks and feels like it should be. Super gorgeous, even if you have a luxury car-quality interior. This seat "makes my buns feel the happiest of any car seat I've ever had!" per my 7 year old. If that isn't a rousing endorsement, I don't know what is. The seat belt shoulder clip is well-designed so that the belt easily pulls through and retracts without issue (this was a constant issue with the RodiFix, the Oobr, and, to a lesser extent, the Britax Parkway in both my Honda Odyssey and the Discovery). The folding mechanism seems like a "so what" feature, but is actually really handy. I've used it a handful of times in only a few weeks as I've found myself suddenly needing cargo room. I just remove and fold up the Flex, park it on the front floor, and collapse it's 2nd row seat. Super easy and quick. The latch release and install lever is also delightfully straightforward to use. All in all, there isn't anything to complain about with this seat. Not even the little pull out cup holders. They're not indestructible, but most European-made seats don't even offer an add on option (like the RodiFix). I also don't mind that there's no bottom as I won't ever have to discover some sort of weird goo science experiment at the bottom of one!

The best

We have purchased close to a thousand dollars of carseats over the years across two vehicles (and definitely over a thousand if including those we had to return for not meeting our requirements). This is definitely the best. Few standout features: - Very comfortable head rest and shoulder area for naps - No arm rests (let's 3 kids sit side by side more comfortably, let's young ones more easily buckle/unbuckle themselves if they're responsible) - Back can recline if your seats in the second row go backwards, this very flexibly and properly reclines as well. With the additional built in recline in the bottom of the seat, we have had the most quiet drives with kids knocked out, they have also stated it's the most comfortable seat they've been in - Easiest method of locking/unlocking the seat in with the isofix (much better than compared to using a seatbelt and the back hanger clip)

Cheaper plastic and offers no head and shoulders safety.

I wish I could say I love this product. The idea is amazing. But the product isn’t the best. Let me state as to why. To start let’s go over safety. The head rest for kids is flimsy. Literally my 4 year old resting his head on it makes it move out of place and bend. Resulting in no real support if an accident occurs. They shoulder strap from the seatbelt. The red parts to hold seat belt in a safely manner. They are built into the flimsy parts of the shoulder pads. Resulting in tons of movement. Leading the kids to harm. The shoulder pads are adjustable by simply pulling or pushing them into the seat. My kid resting on them causing them to open. While my kiddo rested his head the right shoulder support snapped off due to flimsy plastic material. This simple thing has led me to remove the car seat completely. The base. While being made for comfort offers no real suitable adjustments for directly upward sitting or angle adjustment for vehicles with a smaller backseat. Does not fit in a Nissan frontier or ford ranger that has the smaller direct rear seats. Overall made with cheaper materials and isn’t suitable for all vehicles. Unfortunately wasted a lot of money on this seat just to have cheap plastic snap and become a safety risk.

Car seat was perfect, until it broke.

tldr: don't let your kids sit in them unless they're installed in the car. We purchased 2 of these for our 5 and 6 year old and used them for 18 months. They were perfect; narrow enough that someone can fit in the middle seat, allow for them to buckle and unbuckle very easily, and meet all safety requirements. They were also very easy to adjust and clean. We had them out of the car to clean the interior and the kids sat in them and apparently the backs do not support their weight outside of the car because the back reclined and broke. I understand this is not the intended use for them, but since they collapse forward, we thought there was surely a way to have them reset upright if collapsed back. We contacted Peg Perego and they were no help, so its unclear if they're fixable. We're currently borrowing boosters from the grandparents and oh how I miss these. Kids cannot buckle themselves and seats just don't feel as sturdy. The price point on these is so high, but as we have a very tall now 7 year old, I feel we must re-purchase them because there is only one other high back option we can find that goes to 63" and it is extremely wide. After the terrible customer service, I just don't know if I can shell out another $600.
