Pros: - Was roasted about a month ago, per the date on the bag. Freshness is my biggest concern when purchasing coffee from Amazon and this could be better, but that's not bad for a product that has no doubt spent time on the shelves of an Amazon warehouse somewhere. - Brewed nicely as espresso (using Breville Barista Express) - I was able to pull consistent shots with a nice crema - Also ground some at different course-ness for French Press and Aeropress, also good Con: - None to speak of, but I'd rather reserve a 5-star review for a coffee that is over-the-top. Nothing particularly unique or "wow"-worthy here, but it is a nice tasting, balanced, versatile coffee. I have always preferred Peet's over the harsh qualities of other big brands like Starbucks and this met my expectations. ... show more

We love Peet's. I buy a LOT of Peet's beans, for both brew and espresso. We go through a LOT of espresso. So, when I saw this listing at HALF the price of the retail store I jumped on it. I had concerns about freshness, but this was unfounded. The beans are great!! I have subscribed.

There is nothing better than this expresso. Some come close but are unable to achieve this level of aroma, flavor, and cost. When you grind this the smell coming off of the espresso is intoxicating and makes you want to drink coffee all day long highly recommended.

I bought Peet's Espresso Forte Dark Roast hoping for a robust and flavorful coffee experience. This whole bean coffee definitely delivers a bold taste, which is great for starting the day or getting that mid-afternoon boost. The beans have a rich aroma that fills the kitchen every morning. However, I've noticed some inconsistency in the flavor profile. Some batches taste perfect, exactly what you'd expect from a premium dark roast, but others seem a bit off, almost as if the beans were over-roasted. This inconsistency can be a bit frustrating, especially when you're looking forward to that perfect cup. While I enjoy the full-bodied flavor when it's right, the unpredictability of what I'll get from each new bag makes it hard to fully recommend.
