As far as these type of tarps go its pretty good. It seemed a little stronger then the type I have purchased at Harbor Freight and other sores in the past. The corners have nice heavy plastic reinforcements. Just to make it clear, I would not expect it to hold up in extensive winds over a long period of time but what do you want for the price. Its not a custom made canvas cover for $20.00. I subtracted 0.1 star because it is not actually 10ft wide, mine was an inch narrow, no big deal but I am using it to cover a floor for painting and it came up short.     • grommet spacing is inconsistent

I bought 4 tarps, including two this vendor because my other seller only had two for quick delivery and storms were approaching.. Am using them to create a waterproof wall around the front porch of my houseboat to keep the rain out. Installation includes hanging them via the grommets from hanger screws on a wooden rail that surrounds the top of the room. What I found that the grommets was much further apart than on the ones I purchased elsewhere, and worse, were inconsistent in their spacing on a single tarp, and even worse still, different from one tarp to another. This has made my installation more complicated and time consuming, and therefore more costly, as I have to calculate spacing and install more grommets myself. This distributor must buy these in lots from different manufacturers without paying attention to the inconsistencies. Features on the tarps from the other vendor (Tarps Direct) were consistent and the spacing closer to what I needed. Delivery time was excellent, and the tarps themselves of good quality, so if you don't care about the grommets they are fine, but not matching was a problem for me. ... show more

I use this tarp inside and cannot speak to its outside performance (weatherproof, water resistance) I use in my workshop as an overspray protection for furniture i paint. We ordered this because its hard to find white tarp in our area. We used it for a projector screen outdoors. and it worked great for us. The grade and thickness of this tarp is great, a lot thicker then the other brands. This isn't going to tear any time soon. I don't like writing bad reviews about products, but if this saves one person from buying these tarps, having to repack and send them back, it's served it's purpose. I purchased 2 of these to use on a 35 foot stretch. When the package arrived, I inspected it for any damage, but it looked pristine. No holes, tears or breaks in the plastic surrounding the tarps. Laying them out on the grass, they looked okay. I looked at the grommets and thought they looked a little flimsy, but I had a tarp similar to this that lasted me 4 years, so I thought they might still be fine. I next noticed that the grommet spacing was anything but even, but again for my application it was not going to matter so I gave them a pass on that too. Got the first tarp up over my frame no problem. As I was lifting the second one up, there was finally enough contrast for me to see a hole about the size of a dollar coin. It looked to be melted as if it had gotten just a little to close to something hot. Being as far along as I was, I decided to give this a pass, and duct taped it. Tightening down the tarps, yet not exerting a lot of pressure, I noticed the grommets were easily pulling away. I stopped and honestly contemplated sending them back at this point, but again gave them a pass. I carefully got it into place and lashed everything down. That night we had a downpour, but very little wind. I came out the next day and a couple of puddles of water had formed. To my surprise the tarp was actually leaking. That was the last straw, even though it was a royal pain to take them down and replace them, I was not going to put up with a tarp that couldn't even survive it's first night. I discovered why. Looking up at the tarps in the bright daylight I noticed they were heat seamed about every 4 feet running the width. All the leaks developed from those seams. These tarps are defective and seriously won't serve any purpose, especially if you are actually contemplating keeping something dry. The photos I am including in this look like the same place from different angles. Actually these are all separate areas of the two tarps. No pressure was put on the tarps and they were not stretched in that direction, just laid over a high frame. Anyway each photo actually shows a different imperfection where water was leaking from. ... show more
