Our coffee is a unique blend created by combining nine different Arabica beans selected from the finest coffee harvests in the world Different roasting techniques allow you to taste the unique illy blend in 3 different roasting profiles: CLASSICO, INTENSO, and FORTE Taste every single aromatic note within the unique illy blend, each from a different country of origin. illy's Iperespresso coffee machines are compatible with all of illy's Iperespresso capsules, which are designed to enhance the most intense aromatic notes and to obtain the freshest and creamiest espresso. Being finely grounded for espresso coffee machines, it can be used in a Moka as well, but avoid pressing it down the filter.

Love, love, love this coffee!

We have a Breville Coffee maker and spent a lot of time and money finding the “perfect” coffee bean to use with it. We considered things like taste, oiliness and price. Neither my husband or myself like strong coffee, so we tended to stay away from espresso beans. This coffee is just the right blend of mildness/flavor. Not too strong, not too weak. It also doesn’t leave an oily residue in our coffee grinder, which is so nice! The coffee is a little pricey but certainly won’t break the bank. And we prefer this coffee to most coffee-shop, so we save a ton of money by making our coffee at home! We love this coffee so much, we have it on subscription so we never have to go without.

VERY reliable and predictable espresso bean

I have a bunch of ILLY with vacuum packed espresso beans, they are not quite there with a locally roasted great bean, but they are close enough that they are dependable and something I drink regularly if I don't have a local bean. BREW suggestions. when you first brew, the taste is a bit off, I ended up using a coarser grind than I had expected, and brewing for 26 seconds at 197° f. those values being a testament to the vacuum packed bean behaving wildly different from a locally roasted fresher bean. Seems all the tins of Illy medium roast i have had, were roasted 2-4 months before they got to me, and is labeled as being good for another year or so. these beans were prepared for supermarket shelves. But this is not entirely a bad thing, because they are predictable, taste great, and always consistent, the taste change very little from the first day you brew it, to a couple months later. that is, if you really manage to stretch 250grams that far. I would say, if you are not into locally roasted beans, and want a reasonable and easy accessible good espresso bean, the ILLY medium roast beans are a great choice, predictable, great smooth taste. that said, $50 for 3 pounds of product, you can find a lot of very good freshly roasted beans at the same price point. The reason to choose the ILLY medium roast would be. 1. if you love the taste, its a no-brainer. 2. you don't futz with your brew to tweak daily, preferring a predictable every day bean that is going to be the same brew and taste next year as today.. the ILLY medium roast beans are for you. :-) Let cool a bit before tasting. Enjoy.
