So far this is working out really well for my new kitty cat. I want to get her used to car rides, and she seemed to be pretty comfortable on our first car ride in this. She's a little over seven pounds. I'm not sure how well it would work for large cats but I can't say for sure. I got the mesh for the ventilation so I'm glad that the mesh is strong and seems to be holding up well to her zoomies and clawing (I leave the carrier out when at home and she likes to go crazy and run through it like a tunnel). Being a backpack, it's also SO much easier and nicer to carry around than a regular carrier--a little tricky getting it off and on with the cat inside so just go slowly when doing so.

Liked the overall design concept of this backpack carrier and also liked the fact that it has great ventilation and was reasonably priced. It works fine as a backpack carrier for a small animal. It's not overly spacious when assembled in backpack mode so it's best for small animals (ours was 9 lbs). It is fairly well made; the materials didn't rip when clawed, it has zipper locks on all zippers, and has good storage pockets on the side. When it was fully open our pet really liked it, but as previously mentioned it seemed small when folded up and used as a backpack. The one thing we didn't like about the pack was that the back part that gets folded into the pack when the product is being used in backpack mode intrudes into the available space for our pet which already was limited. It also doesn't easily and seamlessly fold back in to form the back of the pack and I needed to work it a bit to be able to zip it back in. But overall, for the price it was a nice looking and decent carrier compared to the pricier ones on the market.

I'm impressed with the quality and look of this backpack. I have not used it outdoors yet but i an getting my baby comfortable with it. She seems to like it. I wore it with her in it at home and she didn't seem to mind at all. Can't wait for adventures with our kitty!

Bought 2 of these for my 2 cats for a 16+ hr road trip. Both of my cats are ~8lbs and had plenty of room to stretch out and turn around! Even with it closed up and a small bed in the bag, they still had plenty of room to settle down and get comfortable! I loved the idea of them being able to stretch out and be comfortable! And every part that zips up on the bag has a clip on the ends to connect to the other zipper to prevent escaping which is perfect especially if you have to make pit stops and get them out of the car! My family loved the bag when they saw it and wanted to buy it for their own cats! Highly recommend!

I take my Cat Sam for playdates with his brother Pierre. This carrier is easy to assemble, very sturdy, and has lots of pockets for snacks. The extension provides extra space for Sam to stretch out. Looking forward to our next outing.

This is so much better than putting the cats on a leash. On a leash, they try to climb every blessed tree we pass. With these, we can actually get more than 500 yards from the door. Happy cats, happy cat-crazy-kids, and happy parents who will now get to go on tranquil walks. Oh. And happy dog because now we can actually move.

This is my second one. The plastic you have to peel off the windows is a bit difficult to get from around the metal ring holes. I had to go through and really pick it all out so my cats don’t actually get it out and eat it. But other than that it’s perfect and my cats love going in it. Much better than a regular cat carrier. Easy to assemble and carry.
