  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike trailer for dogs
Size: Standard
Trailer works great. It is well designed and easy to attach to the bike using the included hitch. The trailer collapses easily to facilitate storage in my truck. I can transport our Golden and Westie without issues. I like having the brake to keep the trailer steady while loading the dogs. Our Golden was very hesitant about getting in and riding in trailer while being towed with the bike. I utilized the trailer as a stroller for about a week as I accustomed her to the trailer. For this purpose the wheel on the front was invaluable. Our Westie was good from the get go! ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Takes up space
Size: X-Large
The stroller is pretty good I just don’t like when I have to take it down and put it in the back of my cargo space of my truck. It takes up so much space and it’s not easy to put up and take back down again. But thanks to the big wheels is easy to push. But if you want something that is easier when it comes to storage. This is not the item. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars For big dogs
Size: X-Large
Love the design and the quality of the product. Great for our XL dog. One of the wheels was not trued so it wobbles and we had to fix that. Otherwise, good product, easy to assemble, and the dog doesn't hate it. Would recommend and would buy again.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Fun For Your Pup
Size: Standard
I have a Corgi Dog. He's a little too big for a basket and the Bark Ranger is perfect! I use it for RV camping and my doggy uses it as a bed when we are lounging around camp. My dog is ready to jump in as soon as he sees it getting hitched to my bike. People get a real kick out of it as well.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy assembly!
Size: X-Large
Just received it and unboxed it at the UPS store and left with Oliver taking his first ride. We have a standard poodle, 55 lbs and this is definitely the right size as he has a long body. Easy to pop up, easy to collapse, no tool needed!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Great size for a larger dog and seems to work well
I purchased this Burley to be able to take our nearly-nine-year-old Golden Retriever to walk in places that are a bit farther from home. We prefer to ride a bike when possible, so this seemed like it would be a great fit, and would help as she ages and starts to slow down. She is just under 60 lbs (varies between 55-58 lbs, depending on how many treats she's been getting), and fits with room in the XL size. * First, I'll speak on getting her acclimated to this sort of travel. This was our first attempt at getting her in a bike trailer and it was a bit of work. After it was built, we left it around so that she could sniff it, or possibly go in on her own. That didn't seem to be working so we started treating her when she would sniff inside or even put a foot inside the trailer. I actually threw some treats inside the trailer so that she'd have to go in to get them. After a couple of weeks of doing that, we got her in and took her for a very short (less than 1-mile) ride. She was breathing pretty frantically, but she tends to be anxious around new things. Our next trip was a 10-mile one-way trip to a place she loves, and we continued to give treats when she got inside and when she got out. Again, she was still not thrilled about this mode of transport, but we hope that as we continue to use it and take her to fun-for-her places, this will improve. * Putting the trailer together was doable for one person. I am pretty inept when it comes to assembling things and managed to do this on my own in about 30 minutes. I had a bit of difficulty with getting the top part zipped, but after shuffling the fabric around a bit, it came together just fine. * I will note that we cannot leave the mesh screens rolled up for our dog because she will absolutely try to get out (and did). Maybe in time, when she gets a bit more used to traveling in it, we'll be able to do so, but the lack of interior compartment tethers is unfortunate (these could be added aftermarket, I'm sure). I don't feel comfortable leaving her loose in the trailer without a means to be sure she cannot get out. * I have been using this with my Tern HSD (e-assist) bicycle. The Burley mounts directly to the hub. I have had a bit of difficulty with keeping the hub mount straight after attaching and un-attaching, but overall, it seems to work well. I've had no issues with feeling like our pup would tip over around corners or on mildly unsteady/uneven roads. Obviously, the extra weight makes rides slower, but I am impressed that it doesn't feel too horrible lugging the trailer and a nearly-60 lb dog. * I will also say that we did purchase the interior bed to make this a bit more comfortable for our dog. I think most would want something a little cushier in between the canvas portion of the bottom and their pup, so even if you don't purchase the not-included bed, I'd recommend getting something or using towels or some other cushioned items. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not for this dog - size/weight issue - tips back
Size: X-Large
Very well built, sturdy, rides very smooth, low step up is great!!!!!! Tried with a 55 pound bulldog (heavy for their size.) Ordered XL as he is too big to turn around in the standard size.. He had lots of extra room and moved around a lot, throwing it off balance. Probably better for a dog that fills it up more, like a Golden Retriever. The weight would be more evenly distributed and it would be less disruptive when they move. There is 12" behind the rear axis. This dog could get most of his weight behind the rear axis, causing it to pop a wheelie. He gets playful and moves from front to back suddenly when in motion. I did not try it attached to the bike, only in stroller mode - but I think it would be the same issue - or at least cause the cyclist to get a jolt or the bike to fall over when the kickstand was not up. In stroller mode I had to hold onto it constantly just incase he decided to move. Tried a different brand with a smaller cabin, and less distance behind the rear axis. That one only tips back a little sometimes when he jumps in. I can handle tipping when loading and unloading, but in motion it was too much. I think so much extra space encouraged him to get wild instead of be calm. I did test it with some lightweight stuff in the back to take up the extra space and keep him contained more. It worked very well. ... show more
