    • Great Customer Service, but product can't withstand high winds
Bought a Peaktop carport two years ago and it's failed twice due to high winds, so it's not a structure that can handle an area that gets severe weather. However, Peaktop's customer service has been outstanding, in particular Jasmine. Within a few weeks of erecting, we had a rain storm with 60+ mile an hour winds that ripped several sections and toppled the carport over, twisting 4-5 pieces of the metal frame. In Peaktops defense, I did not secure the legs as much as I could have, but I still think it would have been damaged by that storm. I contacted Peaktop via email and they replaced all the broken parts for free within a couple of days. Last winter, high winds ripped the grommets from several of the tarps, including the top, and most of the bungee cords snapped, so I was left with just an empty frame. This happened even though I added additional grommets and bungees to all of the side pieces, so the square shaped design just can't handle high winds. Much to my surprise, the frame remained in tact because I did thoroughly anchor it down. I contacted Peaktop via email and within a few days they sent me a replacement top for $175 and included two bags of bungee cords, which allowed me to replace the stretched out bungees on all the panels. While I have to give credit to Peaktop for standing behind their product, I'd suggest they develop a more sturdy, aero dynamic, design with rounded corners and top that can withstand high winds and shed snow. ... show more

Style: 8 Legs With Window Sidewall
Updated! I was able to recover most of my money however the process took way longer than expected and the response to just give it away was insulting. :( —— BEWARE!! I want to begin by saying I bought this item to store things under it. The assembly was pretty straight forward. Upon assembling, several of the rods/poles, were bent. A few days went by and it rained about 3-4 times. I was super upset to see there are a cluster of tiny wholes at the top of the tarp. It was letting water in and my items became wet, super disappointing. The rain was also coming through the bottom seams of the window part. I contacted the seller for a refund. There is no paid return label and item weighs 145 combined and came in two different boxes. Local carriers accept up to 70 lbs. Shipping per box is outrageous. I contacted the seller to advise to send a paid return label due to the inconvenience of their defective product. It has been over a week and they started by offering $30 and send a replacement. I advised no, I just want a refund because product overall was sucky. Can you believe they told me to just give it away. They must think I am rich to just give away $400. I am super sad with the poor customer service that is offered. They continue to offer the same solutions which is send a replacement only or to just give it away. It’s been days. ... show more

2 years after purchase and setup, we had a Mid-Michigan ice/snow storm with incredible high winds. We lost multiple large tree branches, and they fell on our storage port. the branch destroyed the roof cover and the side wall. The top rail pipe was bent due to taking a 20' long branch direct hit. I e-mailed the Reseller for Peaktop Outdoor, and they replied within 12 hours (mostly due to very far time zones). I worked with 2 CSRs and they let me purchase a new roof, new side wall, and the bent pipes that I needed. The price was very reasonable and it all showed up with in 10days. Great Customer service (Rep = Doria), and given the size of the limb that fell on the structure, this protected the contents and held up pretty well. Doria was a delight to work with. ... show more

We purchased this carport cover a year ago, almost to the day. It literally disintegrated over the year. I contacted Peaktop and I supplied them with pictures and they replaced the material part of the cover, top, sides and ends. It took a while, as the only silver one they had was damaged. They made sure we would accept a beige one, and received a few days ago. The customer service was great and they indeed stood behind their 1 year guarantee! I must say though, it was difficult to contact them, as the number for Peaktop on google is not for this company when I tried to call them. I had to contact them through Amazon, but got an immediate reply concerning my problem. Very pleased with the customer service and the businesses guarantee. I hope the beige one lasts longer than one year. We shall see!!! ... show more

Very easy to put together. I should have known better than to trust the straps though. Ours shread apart on a windy weekend and anchoring straps failed allowing tent to flip over the parked vehicle. We upgraded the straps and all stays put, but now the walls are failing all over at the seams like it's 10 years old, after just 6 months. We would not recommend this product for reason of poor quality tent & securement materials. The frame is the only sturdy part. Hope this helps others. ... show more

The picture doesn't really represent it. It is not a canvas top, it is a tarp. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as the pic. However, it is sturdy, good quality, and does the job. It keeps my vehicle cool and dry. I did upgrade the anchors and am using heavy duty ratchet tiedowns. Don't bother with the cheap anchors and tie downs they give you. Instructions are vague at best and you will need at least one other person to erect it. ... show more

ATTENTION AMAZON SELLER "Overwhelming". I WOULD LIKE A PARTIAL REFUND!!! So bought this in February, and put it up in late March. I bolted treated 2x4s to the cement, then screwed down the pole bases to the wood. Seemed to be decently sturdy. I'm using this for storage of totes, bicycles, artificial Xmas tree, etc. It was to our disappointment this week that the whole one side of the roof was ripped wide open. It's simply following apart due to the exposure to the sun. Barely got 5-months of use out of this. I do not want another one as this is just going to happen again. Wish I would have read all of the 1 and 2 STAR RATINGS before I bought this. Now I am going to have to have a custom cover made, which is not going to be cheap. ... show more
