This is a great canopy. I’ve had it for over a year and it has done great even in high winds. I did tie all eight pole ends to bricks. The cover stood up to two brutal hot summers in Arizona before needing to be replaced. I contacted customer service and got super fast and friendly help from Doria for a replacement cover. While the cover is plenty long enough it’s just a little too narrow. With the side’s coming down about a foot the top of my door, I have a Tundra, hits and I can’t open my doors all the way. Other than that it keeps the sun and rain off. My truck is much cooler to enter than when it was in sunlight.

This 12x20 carport kit went together very easily with 2 people in about an hour. all parts fit well. arrived in 3 boxes undamaged. the poles are not swaged, but have "buttons" that snap into an oval hole in the next pole. the pole set was paper thin, maybe 18Ga galv steel at most. likely 20 ga. the corner connectors were much heavier, maybe 14 ga. all in all it seems like it should hold up. the trap was thin like all of them, maybe a little thicker than a menards blue tarp? not much. I didn't grab a caliper. the only thing that was really lacking on this kit was the ropes and bungees. very low quality ropes and bungees. I don't expect they will last more than a year, maybe 2 before needing to be replaced. All in all it came in good shape, went together easily, tarp fit nice and tight. even looks pretty decent. 4.5 out of 5 for me. definitely better than the big box stores 10x20 shelters, at almost double the price it should be... ... show more

Easy to assemble, well labeled, I was able to install by myself but recommend 2 people to make it easier. I get strong winds, but so far seems pretty sturdy. I would buy again if I need another one!

The product came on time and in good shape with all it's parts there. Went together pretty well Got the frame for the roof done alone by this old lady but had to have help with the part that lifts it up and into place. That was done by two tall men who finished up the project rapidly. I still have my doubts regarding the spaces between the roof poles and holding up against snow accumulation. There should be one more pole added in between those initial poles for the roof. Have to wait and see. The extra bracing I like for the legs in the cross bar bracing for the roof. Would have liked to see that bracing be on all the roof bars and the leg bars too. Can they be ordered singly to be able to beef up a bit more of the frame.? The legs don't impress me. They should be thicker yet. I will add more later as the weather makes an impact on my new purchase which by the way looks very nice. :-) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This package comes in two boxes, I was not aware as amazon marked my tracking as completed. Customer service gave me a status of the other box. Did my inventory and it was good. Got some extra parts just incase things breaks. Installation was easy, wear the gloves they provided, push pin lock was awesome. Although the stakes and ground anchor are not suitable for my weather. I live in desert with occasional gust and strong wind. I wish at this size of a tent, it would be nice to beef up the anchor and stakes, the tie rope was heavy duty and already cut in size. So for my anchor, I bought a vasgor 18 inches, the tip looked like an auger , I used my power drill to plant this down deep. And I ordered more so all legs are planted to the ground. Was planning a video but ran out of time so.....maybe later. Hi. Jumping online to give an evaluation of the Peaktop10x 20 carport assembly and value. I had another portable carport that was about 50 % less in the initial cost which lasted around 5 years or so. The top was replaced twice and the metal connectors began to rust after a couple of years. A recent snowstorm caused catastrophic failure so I approached this purchase with considerable skepticism and concern. The first thing that I noticed was the light number of comments from those that purchased the system and the next.... the email address was 'generic' not company-specific so I was concerned. When the product arrived and I looked at the contents, the connecting pieces were somewhat scratched and a little scuffed. However, when I contacted the company by phone and email I was assured they would stand behind the product and provide the needed support to complete the project. I considered returning the unit but after a week or so decided to install. Was pleasantly impressed. The scuffed pieces and a couple of imperfections were addressed with a rust-proofing paint product. I was also informed that two processes are used in the galvanization process.... hot gal and cold galvanization. The cold is used because of the welding process and is a 'coating applied galvanization'. When I contacted a competitor to ask about their method I was given the same information. The similarity was that my 'customer service individual had the same name 'JOY'. Must be the same customer service clearance.LOL. The obvious is to take time to confirm the packing list and parts before beginning. I live on acreage so it was easier to separate the items. The one area that was a challenge was the corners to the roof and systematic assembly. Assemble on the ground the roof sections and the top. Elevate the sides beginning on one side and complete. The basic assembly could be accomplished in 1 to 1.5 hours with the tie downs and other tasks later, The rope and tie-downs are adequate depending on your location. I opted to find additional rope for tie-down at my local tool warehouse. 75 ft for around 4 bucks. I also opted for camouflage to disguise the tie-downs. A metal stake that is used for dogs was also used on the 4 corners, Because of my experience with the former manufacturer, I probably have over-done securing the shelter. The top initially installed with wrinkles and tightness which disappeared after a couple of days. We also added zip ties to the grommet bungies for peace of mind. Overall I consider this a well-designed and functional system that looks great when completed. Instructions are basically pics only.. A little weak Would give it a 5 rating other than the need to touch up what I felt were vulnerable areas from the 'cold galvanization process. The added bracing on either end and side is a welcome addition and one of the reasons I chose this model 2202w. The unit is tall and can accommodate a large vehicle. For the cost of $250 the unit should provide years of service ... show more

Easy assembly by one person, all holes aligned up, parts fit perfectly. Even had extra nut and bolt and 4 extra stretch ties. 4 sand bags (to fit on base of legs) also included. The 8 tiedown ropes also were included, cut to length and ends sealed from fraying. We live in CA coastal area (fog) sun is not intense, but tieing down ropes with rebar stakes due to our winds as included earth anchors would not be sufficient in our loose dune sand. Nothing missing in packages and construction went smoothly. Got my truck out of double car garage so wife's car can have all of the room. ... show more
