No, this isn't Michelin restaurant worthy, but if you're camping or especially backpacking you're gonna be doing a happy dance. Note tho, the directions say to add "2/3 of a cup of water to the entire bag" which was hard to guess as I poured hot water from my JetBoil. I guessed a little too much and it turned out like Peach Cobbler Gruel, but, again, CAMPING, so I rolled with it. It still tasted good and I'll buy this again. Good for if you've shared, say, a Mountain House dinner with someone and are still slightly hungry. A good treat and it's kind of oatmeal based so you could also have it for breakfast if you're in the mood for something sweet.

Not bad for just add water dessert. The taste was good, though the texture got mushy after a while (we started it at the same time as out just add water dinner, so it sat for longer than recommended. Next time I'd wait till we were closer to eating it before adding water). I think it would be good with a bit of extra granola to add as a topping right before eating.

I have had other desserts from other camping and emergency readiness companies, but this one is my absolute favorite. Like their full food line, it’s easy to make…but the taste is actually like gourmet peach cobbler. Pick some of this up for your next adventure and buy a few extra packs because others will likely smell the goodness and you won’t want to share the one you’re enjoying.
