🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The PDP controller offers good value for money, with users generally praising its plug-and-play functionality, button and trigger responsiveness, and compatibility with PC games. The controller is lightweight and reliable, with a secure, firmly-fitting cord. However, a potential issue to be aware of is that multiple users have reported problems with the analog sticks, particularly stick drift over time.

Pros

  • 🎮 Good substitute for mainstream console controllers like PS5 or Xbox One.
  • 💻 Plug and play accessibility for PCs.
  • 👌 Responsive buttons and triggers
  • 🎧 3.5mm jack compatibility.
  • ⚖️ Lightweight yet doesn't feel cheap.

Cons

  • ⏳ Occasional stick drift issues over time.
  • 🕹 Left stick issues reported by several users.

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you're looking for an affordable alternative to mainstream console controllers and primarily use your controller for PC games. Its responsive buttons, good compatibility, and affordability make it worth considering. However, do consider the potential stick drift issue before making a decision.

  • To expensive for the quality of parts.
Color: Red
Fast shipping.. quality of parts are crap. To expensive for the crappy quality of the parts in the controller. Sencond controller i had to buy, because thumstick broke, after a month, and no replacement thumbsticks, and other thumbsticks have to big of holes to fit the small thumbstrick rod.

  • Decent controller, not perfect
Color: Red
The controller is decent, but not perfect. Pros: - The rumble is great - It's functional Cons: - The buttons are a bit sticky and makes certain games harder to play if you need to mash on buttons repeatedly, like mini-games in the WWE 2K series

  • 4 mo in, stick drift
Color: Red
About 4 months into using the left stick started drifting *really* bad, to the point it became unusable. Buttons started sticking a little too. Low quality.

  • Great until 3-4 months go by
Color: Black
I've been using PDP controllers for about 4 years and I personally prefer it over standard Xbox (Microsoft controllers), PowerA for cheap, even the Xbox Elite controller. Shocking right. Might be placebo but I think they really are just better and the mapping of the buttons is just easier and the setting control with the PDP app is great for everything. The issue is they only last about 5-6 months minimum with constant use for an FPS game. Even non-FPS and occasional gaming maybe can stretch the life to 8-10 months but that is it. Really has no longetivity at all. Great until it isn't. I've bought at least 6 controllers in the last 4 years just cause I personally enjoy the controller and it's cheaper than most, it's just unfortunate the lifespan is not long at all. Yearly I spend about the same amount for a Microsoft made controller for 2 PDP. It’s just something about the feel, or the sticks? Not sure what it is but I just like it and I honestly play better at FPS games with it vs Elite, PowerA, and standard Xbox. A try hard in apex one could say, and PDP does the job. Overall 3/5. UPDATE 3/2/2024: I take back my 3 stars, these PDP controller's are worse than ever and don't even last more than a month on limited use now. The most recent order, these lasted just over a week before the Sticks started having issues, then as usual the A button just gets wedged inside the controller and you can't take it out. Not ordering PDP ever again. Was great from 2019-2023. Genuinely my favorite controller for FPS competitive gaming. And the PDP App I do still think is the best for customization. but the last order it seems as if they just went even cheaper and didn't even care about durability. I'm gaming less, but even with less gaming the controller just stopped working and had faults in just over a month. ... show more

  • Pretty good for the price
Color: Red
If you want a high end controller, you know this ain't it. But if you're just tired of your dollar store controllers and want something that will have sticks with actual sensitivity, that also detect more than 8 directions, this should do the trick. Works well, feels nice, looks nice, and the detachable cable is great. I hate hardwiring. I sometimes have problems pressing down the sticks when they're not idle in the center, but only sometimes. Look into the PowerA controllers too, apparently they're a bit better. But this one works pretty well, and I don't have much to complain about. Shame controllers cost so damn much. ... show more

  • It's good for a couple of weeks then thumbstick issues (replacement had same issue)
Color: Fuse Black
I ordered this controller to play on PC while waiting for my console to be returned. After about 2 weeks, the left stick started jittering when moving it slightly to the right. I ordered a replacement controller directly from PDP and it did the same thing. I had no problems out of the right stick, only the left stick and it was the same problem on both. Everything else about this controller is fantastic. It's lightweight, good size, all the buttons feel snappy and responsive. Does not feel cheap despite it's light weight. The cord fits very tightly in slot so it doesn't fall out and won't break on the end. Works perfectly and has a "testing" app to make sure everything is working properly and you can monitor your controller to check for issues. It's a really good controller when it works but I play a lot of racing games which uses the left stick to turn and it made it really difficult to be precise once the thumbstick issue started happening. I would recommend it as a "get you by" controller until you can afford something more if you don't use the left stick for anything more than movement in FPS/TPS games. It's a great controller but the thumbstick issues are a deal breaker for me. ... show more

  • So far it is Great!!
Color: Fuse Black
I like the PDP wired controllers as the Xbox One wireless controllers seem to have trouble staying connected. I have used a couple other wired controllers but keep coming back to the PDP brand. While they don't last forever, they do last me quite a long time. The second one I had just started to have a problem with one button. It seems that I wore it out playing one type of game that needed that button compressed the entire time (Descenders). When playing that game, I can still get out that controller since the button works, it just doesn't stop working as good. The new controller is awesome as it works straight out of the box and I love the colors. Makes playing games that don't need the "Descenders" button much better. Love it!!! ... show more
