I actually purchased this as a topper for my current mattress which is several years overdue of being replaced and now I have a few springs poking out and I can’t replace my bed at the moment so I have to make do with what I have. This has given me a comfortable night’s sleep again! I’m so grateful for this affordable option to remedy my problem temporarily. I feel like it might actually be decently comfortable on its own too. Definitely recommend. I will say it is heavier than I expected, would not be the easiest to roll up and store if only using as a spare, but it could be done, maybe with a helper and would need to be tied as it won’t stay rolled. The cover is removable with a zipper so you can wash it, and it is comfortable. The mattress did have a slight smell the first night, but it wasn’t as strong as I expected it to be. Sometimes with products like these the smell is really strong and lasts a while. This one was no big deal and we were able to sleep on it without any issue. This would be great for a camper, back of the truck to go camping or hunting, maybe a sofa bed, etc. ... show more

Be careful with this one. It definitely doesn't expand to a 5" mattress. I'm actually not even sure what the heck they sent... it was almost like a mattress topper. The cover is for a 5" mattress but no clue what's inside. The photo is what it looks like at 24+ hours. Now our daughter has to wait a couple of more days for a mattress to try out her new bed. Luckily I complained to Amazon and they set up for a return and pick up and it doesn't need to be re-packaged. ... show more
