I got this multilayered cat tower for our new cat. She has crawled on it some and I can put some food on the top level that is hard for the dog to get at. Not impossible though. The box arrived with the main section like a body collapsed with no bones in it. Basically, the furry carpet is like a skin between sheets of wood, and then you insert these laura covered columns to hold everything up. The columns have holes that line up with pre drilled holes, and then you insert screws up through the bottom or down through the tops of each platform. The familiar allen wrench is what gets the job done and tight. It is not hard to do but takes some time to line up the holes. The cat and dog each go inside the cubby spaces. The “walls are just the fuzzy carpet, so nothing solid surrounding them. Just the pillars. On the exterior is a ramp and a couple of pillars with rope around them that the cat is supposed to scratch. I wish! Hasn’t worked yet. But at least they are interacting with it a bit while I work. I think it would be just a little better with some padding under the carpet, and if the screws on the top side of each platform weren’t visible. The animals don’t seem to mind. I got the medium gray color and it is nece looking and fits with our neutral decor

A good bargain for the price but NOT for regular size cats. It is fine for kittens and small cats. Was easy to assemble but I do not think the material will hold up past a year.

My cat loves it and he is picky! He didn't like his last cat tree so I bought him this one! One of the advantages of this item is that the little "boxes" have 2 ways of entry so he doesn't feel trapped. Also, the furr ball is stable ( I added a little toy to it to make it more fun!). This is a sturdy cat tree and my cat has a lot of energy so it handles impact when he jumps. The bed is also comfortable for an afternoon nap. Putting it together is easy; it took me a little more time because my kitty kept playing with the parts but it is easy to assemble! I would 100% recommend it!

My cats love it, and they choose different levels to hide in. It was a bear to put together alone, but in the end I did it. Keep the tool handy for tightening. My cats like to leap on and off of it, which loosens it over time, but it is easy to tighten. The material is very plush, too.
