The wood is very light and soft (which was to be expected from the price), but that did make it easier to assemble and move. It does have a very strong odor so I would recommend letting it air out for a few days before moving your pet into it. It was also larger than I expected which was a nice surprise. Our Russian tortoise has plenty of room to roam and dig, and he seems to like the fact that he can retreat into the sectioned off/house portion of the enclosure. ... show more

i thought this was the best deal and such a good idea when i first got it. its been over a year now and its got mold growing on the sides under the coconut fiber bedding. its advertised for turtles/tortoises. i have 2 box turtles and thought this would be perfect. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!! its so much more worth it to get a glass tank!!! this thing also leaks through the bottom, which is warped. all of the sides are messed up because of the way the sides slide in when you build it. extremely disappointed in this and extremely worried about the health of my poor turtles as they've been living with MOLD. i regularly clean out their tank, but the humidity needs to be relatively high to meet their needs. definitely not worth the 130-150 that i purchased it for at the time. in fact if i was given something like this for FREE i would spit in their face. truly embarrassing for this company. ... show more
