Pawaii cat carrier is way better than any other crap you can find on Amazon. Fair price, good color matching, good materials. One thing will make me regret is that I didn’t find Pawaii before I wasted my money on other trash brands with nonsense brand names. However, I’m sad that they increased the price.

I love almost everything about this carrier! You can tell it's really well constructed (solid stitching, materials, etc.), has lots of ventilation, and has side or top access. I also really like the extendable side (see pictures) to give the pet more room to stretch out when possible. I also love the addition of the QR code hang tag which you can register with your contact information and if you get separated from your pet someone can scan it to get your number. I would change three things if I could, but none are deal breakers. 1) As you can see in my pictures, the shape collapses a little when the side is not zipped up. This allows it to fold flat for storage, but it's something to know. 2). There's a random clip inside (see pictures) that the shoulder strap was connected to when it arrived, but I don't see a use for it and it's a little in the way (I have the pad on top of it and you can't feel it through the pad, so not a deal breaker, just annoying). 3). There isn't anything inside the carrier (i.e. velcro) to keep the removable pad (which is nicely padded) from moving around. It can move about an inch front to back. It doesn't seem to be a big deal yet, but if it becomes a problem I'll get some adhesive velcro to help hold it in place. Side note: my cat is 8lbs and cannot stand up fully inside, but could definitely lay down without a problem

My one complaint with this carrier is that it doesn't hold its shape well, other than that, we love it so far. We have 5 cats in our house that we tend to schedule for vet appointments all together so we need to ensure that everyone has their own bag. This carrier has a QR code tag to help reunite your pet with you if the bag gets lost, a top mesh flap AND a velcro cover to block the top, opens on both sides, and includes a zippered pouch for you to store items. The longer carry strap has metal clasps that make us feel safe knowing they're going to securely hold onto the D rings and not drop our cat. Another thing to note is that the included pad is not machine washable. These pads have cardboard inside them that won't tolerate water well, but you can replace it with a towel and it'll work just fine. There's even people on Etsy who make carrier pads with removable covers for easy washing.

So Tommy absolutely loved this carrier. No matter where it was placed, he would find it and sit on top of it. With multiple access points on the top and sides, this carrier is versatile and well made, and it collapses nicely. I only wish it came in some additional color options. Overall, a great value considering the quality.

After many years without an in-house feline for a variety of reasons, I've started searching local animal shelters for a rescue to cuddle once again. While I look, I'm looking to collect what I'll need to keep kitty happy, like a litter box, a few toys and a carrier. As for the latter, this one looked to be a nice size at a nice price, and I'm happy to report it's exceeded my expectations considerably by being exceptionally well-made with a ton of handy features. One of my requirements was that a carrier not take up a lot of space, and this one folds up into a compact rectangle very easily. It's a pretty shade of blue - a color, BTW, that cats actually can see. It's made for smaller animals (up to 13 pounds), but it's plenty roomy inside plus a fleece-covered "floor" for comfort. There are several zippered openings covered with mesh to allow for ventilation and kitties that want to peek outside as well as a retractable expansion on one side for added room. There's also a built-in leash that can be fastened to the cat's collar, so if the cat tries to escape, he or she won't get far. Very sturdy handles and a shoulder strap offer two options for easy carrying. Okay, I'm sold; but will our new kitty love it too? Well, there's no way yet to tell how ours will react, but since two of our four grandkitties live close by, I carried the carrier to them to get their opinion. Within minutes of setting it on the floor unzipped, one of them - the more curious Pete - ventured inside and immediately claimed the space as his own while his brother Marvin waited his turn. For the record, despite the 13-pound recommendation, I have no doubt that cats being cats, both of them could squeeze inside with no problem - even though each is just about at the upper weight limit. Anyway, Pete remained in "his" new hidey-hole until we coaxed him back out with a treat, so clearly the carrier was a winner in his book. Once he was distracted by the munchy, I hurriedly zipped up the carrier and took it back to our house - satisfied that when our kitty comes home, she'll (yep, I'm hankering for a girl) be able to go where we go in comfort and style. If you need a carrier for your cat, I highly recommend this one.
