The necklace hasn't tarnished at all, I workout and get very sweaty with it, sometimes forget to take it off when I shower, but no tarnishing. Although it doesn't tarnish, the clasp has broken a couple times, but it's fixable with eyebrow tweezers and some elbow grease.
