  • Good, sturdy straps.
I use these shorter straps to help hold my boat to its trailer. They work very well.

They do what they're supposed to do. Well made, sturdy.

  • The straps I received were not in working order.
Great design. Numerous straps I received were assembled in non-functioning order. Springs were not correctly installed and in one case missing. And I also received on strip that did not even have a locking mechanism. I received eight straps in total and needed only six so I was able to borrow parts to make six functional, plus I adjusted the springs to be in proper position. Your post-assembly QC function needs some serious attention. ... show more

  • Hard the secure load
Bought these to secure my jet skis, they are hard to get cranked down tight because of the lack of cogs on the sprocket and small lever. They are not very user friendly to loosen when I want to take them off either.

  • Won’t stay tight.
I’ve never bought ratchet straps that don’t stay tight. I’ve even tried ratcheting more strap so it can’t slip and it still slips

  • Best ratchet straps I've ever owned
I was expecting these to be a bit different than just another heavy duty ratchet strap. As far as I can tell, there is very little difference between this and any other heavy duty ratchet strap. As far as I can tell, there isn't anything that makes them particularly special in terms of marine/boat usage. Having said that, these are the nicest ratchet straps I've ever owned. The hooks are super heavy duty. The strap is stitched very securely. The ratchet is easy to operate, both in the tightening, the locking, and in the loosening functions. I've had a couple of other boat specific tie downs that seem to come loose every now and then. I can't imagine these would ever come loose. If anything, you (the owner) might forget to lock the ratchet, but even then, I don't think they'll come lose, and allow your boat to bounce. UPDATE 5-31-2022: There is one problem I hadn't considered before. The metal of the ratchet rubs on my boat. I need to put something between the ratchet and my boat to keep it from wearing off the paint. ... show more
