I have what's called a "serious Kitchen": a head full of crazy hair when it's all brushed out. Janis Joplin ain't got nothing on me. I've been using this Paul Mitchell gel for ions. The result? Before = Brillo pad torn up. After = soft ringlets. It's a runny product. What I do is condition, condition and condition my hair. Wait. The Paul Mitchell goes on last. Wrap in a towel or one of those hair-drying turban things. Never use a dryer, and twist as it dries. If you have curly/kinky/kitchen hair, this product is the only one that beats the humidity of the coastal American south. Also, in between washes (once a week) and conditioning (2x a week), you can take a quarter-size smidgen of this product to tame the frizz from the humidity. Depending on how long your hair is, the only caveat is that (for me, anyway -- my hair is long & coarse) it can take up to a day to fully dry. And never go to bed with a wet head! If you can sleep, you'll need to get a pillow protector.

I have really big, thick, curly hair. I comb it out after washing and then add this gel to it. I mix a tiny bit of oil with it in my hand. It has great hold and takes all the frizz out. After my hair dries I scrunch it all over so hardness of the gel softens. In the morning I spray my hair with water and scrunch. This gel reactivates with a spray of water. It’s my favorite gel.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to afford Paul Mitchell products, and I literally forgot how good they are! Recently, purchased this gel. There’s No stickiness or heaviness at all! It feels like putting water on your hair, yet it defines your curls and makes it easier to style!

You can fill it a bit when you use it indoors, but when I placed it outside in a box for my stray cat, I could not feel any heat whatsoever. The weather is about 30°, and this product is ineffective for outdoor animals, in my opinion.

Oops. I accidentally ordered the wrong item. I've not, in fact, ever used the Super Sculpt Styling Liquid. I use the Hair Sculpting Lotion. I'm not really sure what the difference is. But I do like the lotion because it is lightweight in my hair and helps cut down on static which I get a lot of living where I do. I think the company should change the wording on one of these products so they are not so similar.

Easy to use, apply on wet hair then use a diffuser. No frizzy curls and lasts until next hair wash. Beautiful curls and soft to the touch. No smell. Great product and great price.
