I have blonde, very fine, limp hair. Until recently, I have had to wear my hair very short so I can rollerbrush it to volumize. I am older, so my hair has aged as well, thinner in places and not quite as elastic. So I have to really work to give my hair some oomph without breaking it. No products I have tried (and there have been many) have been able to withstand holding my hair in a volumized fashion once the length got a wee bit longer than 3 inches. Other products may "hold", but in using these harsher products, breakage became an issue. All hope was lost for longer hair... UNTIL THIS PRODUCT! It was used on my hair when I had a trim a couple of months ago and I was surprised at a) how good it smells, b) how light it felt...not gummy or stiff as you attempt rollerbrushing, and c) how volumized my hair was. And held. So I have dared to let my fine hair grow out about two inches beyond the "safe zone"..and it still does a great job! I feel like my prayers have been answered. I highly recommend this product. Two pumps of its mousse foam is all I need and so far after using 5 days a week, I still have the original bottle going...so it doesn't use up quickly. So worth it. I hope this review helps anyone who has dealt with the constraints of enforced short hair for the sake of a little lift... there really is something out there that can help you! Yay!

I like this mousse. My hair is very thin and fine, so I almost always use a volumizing product. This mousse is more lightweight than most I have used. It almost looks like a liquid foam (kind of like foaming hand soap). The bottle says you can air dry or blow dry. I have found that it does add some volume when I air dry, although my hair looks a little crunchy at the roots. The crunchy look mostly goes away if I thoroughly brush my hair roots after it’s dry. No issues when I blow dry.

Product seems to have a slight less quality than when I have bought at the salons in the past. Not implying it's not a true Paul Mitchell product, but I enjoyed the pleasant smells from this line and it seems very faint and a little different too.

Great product. No stickiness or residue. Holds but it doesn't feel like there's product in your hair. I air dry which with other products makes it feel stiff...not this product. Can easily run my fingers though my hair but stays styled.
