I purchased the Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz kit for a new Ryzen 7 7800X3D build. Unfortunately, I ran into major memory issues. After extensive troubleshooting, including updating my motherboard BIOS, clearing CMOS, and testing each RAM stick individually, I found that one stick worked normally while the other consistently caused a DRAM error and prevented the system from booting. The working stick performs well, but receiving a kit where one module appears defective was frustrating and led to hours of troubleshooting. I would recommend testing both sticks individually if you experience DRAM lights, boot failures, or memory training issues. I’m hoping customer support can help resolve the issue, but my experience out of the box was disappointing. ... show more

One of the two ram sticks won't work after 2 months. I spent at least 12 hours troubleshooting. One stick or ram works with no errors in slot A2 and B2. The other ram stick will always get errors and keeps getting worse. Something is wearing out. It used to kind of work, I set it from the XMP1 7000MT/s settings you guys have on the chip back to JDEC 4800MT/s and it kinda works for a bit and then crashes windows with one of many memory errors. Really hoping they can replace this or RMA it. Even with XMP disabled and running slow JDEC 4800 the error rate is the same or worse with the bad stick. The other stick can do anything. Tried both individually in both slots. One stick works the other doesn't after literally weeks. ... show more
