XMP (req to run 4000Mhz) didn't work on ASUS/AMD PC when enabled in bios and locked PC when booting. Needed to reset bios by pulling battery. Otherwise ram works good but not at 4000mhz or with XMP

    • The heatsink is poorly designed and assembled
Size: Capacity: 32GB (2 x 16GB) 2666MHz Kit
first, the speed. Though labeled as running 2666MHz DDR, the actual memory clock is 1200MHz, about 10% less. It might be the board design can't guarantee the higher data rate, or the memory itself needs more precisely controlled board, either way, the extra money was not paid for the higher speed. Second, it is not easy to install in that my build requires a low profile memory where one side of this memory is 3mm too high. In the end the heatsink was trimmed off to fit the case instead returning and selection, but not a total satisfactory. Third is for the value for money. The truth to select a heat sink trim instead of returning was that the heatsink got off when analyzing the problem. The piece of metal was glued on with double sided tape not bearing anything related to heat dissipating. Thus the heatsink might contribute less help during intense heat from game, video editing etc. So far it is working, and I will keep an eye on it. ... show more

I bought and returned my set since XMP won't work. I m still giving it a 3 star since i bought 4400mhz from an enthusiast preferred samsung b-die good binned memory and it also didnt work at XMP and 4000mhz. I had to loosen the timings before it worked. My point is even the best brand model cant promise XMPs. ... show more
