  • This RAM brought life back into my parents really old computer.
Size: 8GB (2x4GB) Kit 1600MHz CL9
This RAM brought life back into my mom's 8 year old computer. I built this low-end system back in 2010. It is an AM3 system with an Athlon II X2 CPU. The original OS was Windows 7. I had originally installed 4GBs of RAM on it. Like all Windows PCs, they bloat up and slow down over time. Then the unfortunate upgrade of Windows 10 came along, and RAM dependency of Windows and software increased exponentially over time. I think one of the biggest kickers was some of the patches Microsoft pushed through in January 2018 (Specter patch?) slowed things down the most. Long story short, 4GB of RAM was no longer enough and the computer turned into a hog. Fast forward, Using Task Manager, I figured I needed to do two upgrades. The RAM the first and easiest upgrade. Amazon delivered within hours of when I ordered! And luckily I was visiting my mom's house when it came. In 15min, I unplugged her computer, opened up the tower and popped these two DIMMs onto the motherboard. Closed it up. Plugged the wires back in. Started it up. BOOM! Computer went from 4GB of RAM to now 12GB of RAM. I went into some of the programs and websites she goes into and everything worked like a charm: Huge improvement! It is like a new computer. Can't wait see what she thinks of the next upgrade when I do it. Edit: I saw some people complaining that this isn't working on their AMD systems - My only comments are: (1) Check the Motherboard manufacturer (2) If you are mixing 2 different type of RAM chips together, manually set the timing and speed of the RAM (via BIOS) to the lower-speced set of RAM. (3) The Motherboard I Installed this on has a AMD 785G Chipset and AMD SB710 South Bridge. ... show more

  • Good ram, good price, does the job and clocks up, too
Size: 8GB (2x4GB) Kit 1600MHz CL9
Needed ram, an ssd, a psu and a video card to bring a 7 yr. old game comp. up to speed. Popped the ram in, fired it up and away she went. Ran it for 3 weeks then I clocked it up to numbers and stressed it for a few days. Worked great so I got another 8gb. (to match the pair). Everything's fine. No weird fallouts or bsod. If anything's wrong with the ram I didn't notice. ... show more

  • Fast stable ram for overclocked build
Size: 8GB (2x4GB) Kit 1600MHz CL9
I purchased this ram from Patriot for my son's budget computer build. He is only 11 so we frankensteined a gaming machine together with an old LGA 1155 socket I5 Gen 3, new case, PSU and a used AMD graphics card. Good enough for him to play newer games at decent frame rates. This ram helped speed up his current system and gets him by playing fortnite and other games. Definitely recommend this ram, it performs flawlessly! ... show more

  • Might be better for those with dainty fingers.
Size: 8GB (2x4GB) Kit 1600MHz CL9
It works very well with our TV and I do like that it has multiple buttons to go straight to things like Netflix and Prime - but it has some annoying things. And no instructions. First figuring out volume and mute. OK so the volume wasn't horrible just want expecting a toggle switch. But, to mute you push down on the top of the volume toggle. Took us a bit to figure that out since it isn't labled. Which sometimes moves the volume if you aren't careful. It also makes it too easy to accidently bump the channel up button. The fast forward and other stuff is a raised ring around the pause button. People with dainty fingers might not have any issues but if you have large fingers it can cause issues if you bump the ring as you push the recessed button. Other than those things it isn't bad. The price is fair. But no I would not buy this one again. At least not unless we can adapt to it and stop hitting things that we don't intend to. ... show more

  • WILL FIX YOUR CALL OF DUTY WARZONE STUTTERING. Get matching frequency, latency, and timing.
Size: 8GB (2x4GB) Kit 1600MHz CL9
Bought this because I was getting stuttering, freezing, lag and frame dips in Call of Duty Warzone. This game (and most likely other future games) take up 12gb of memory. You most likely have CPU and GPU that are fine and your ssd And hdd are most likely fine too. If you have 2x4gb already, then get an other 2x4gb and the 16gb will run warzone smooth as butter. At least it did for my i5 cpu and 980 GPU. And I’m running the game off my HDD. Best $35 I’ve ever spent that fixed everything. Make sure you you get the right frequency, timing, and latency that matches the exact same memory you have now. I had DDR3, 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24 timing and c9 latency. So make sure you buy everything to match. (Timing and latency difference might be ok to mix but preferable to match it all up. Ddr3 or 4 can’t mix and neither can frequency so do your research carefully. ... show more
