Initially a promo with the added memory. I was looking for a new set of 16GB single stick DRAM to limit the traffic across sockets. After a shutdown of power I resumed and placed the order. Then I noticed the sticks were paired and not single. No biggie as I had mismatched speeds on the system with some failed RAM during a bad power net on my case. Good side I was pairing the extra in CLS 11 to a CLS 9 pair I was running and the BIOS kicked out many startups for timing mismatch. So I paired the CLS 11 sticks all the same. The system booted nicely after install, I clocked all RAM back from CLS 11 to CLS 9 at 300 mhz (one stick actually posted at 260 mhz) to synchronize the ram I matched all the speeds for continuity. Very nice reaction, temps remained nominal for the board (tested with laser temp sensor). Boot time has slightly increased for such an older board and stable. Call outs for hard faults remained the same (bootup) as with the prior installed RAM. Gains with OC have been with good measure. I gave this a four as most ram on cheap do not have heat sinks and the pairing reduces bandwidth time with increased clustering. ... show more

I bought this for a new used computer I bought, I wanted an additional 16GB of memory added to the computer. It already had 16GB installed. When I installed it and turned on the computer, I received light codes indicating a problem. I removed all the ram and added the Patriot ram to the computer as a single and double stick, each time I received the light codes. Dell computers can be finicky with memory sticks so I did some research and was able to find a compatible brand. I decided to see if this would work in my HP Prodesk 600 G1 Tower, it works just fine. There was nothing wrong with the memory. I will be purchasing two more sticks to upgrade my HP computer to 32GB of ram. On both computers, I run virtual machines, one with Windows and one with Linux. ... show more

I recently purchased the Patriot Signature DDR3 16GB memory for my wife's computer, after looking at the onboard hardware and determining a lot of the speed issues she was having with her system was due to the old 7200rpm hard drive, and the 8GB of memory she had in the system. Replacing the hard drive with a Samsung SSD was a major help but I felt there was still a little more speed to be found for not a lot of bucks, by increasing the memory on-board. I've used Patriot Memory Modules for years and have never had anything but excellent results, so it made it easy for me to go with this memory. I play a bunch of pc games, but not many modern triple a titles. The most modern game I’ve played is PubG. That being my old 2500k paired with a 970 does everything I need for a gaming pc, especially after overclocking. One spot my computer was feeling long in the tooth was with RAM as I had 8GB, and while that was great when I built the computer it was feeling low in 2020. This was the cheapest ram on amazon from a well known brand at my time of purchase, so I went with it. It is a fine upgrade and going from 8 to 16GB feels amazing. I occasionally encountered stuttering or long load times, now it’s much better. I wasn’t expecting a big upgrade, jus something to get maybe another year out of my already old specced pc, and it appears that it will do just that. ... show more
