I like that these are shorter than my old chips. The 1866mhz XMP profile was easily detected by my old 2nd Gen Core motherboard. They look nice and perform well. I bought this ram as a last ditch effort to breath some life into my old and tired I7 2600K gaming rig. I was replacing a 12 gigs of 1600mhz ram (2x gig sticks & 2x 2gig sticks). The Ram worked but I couldn't tell you if I noticed any performance gains I tried doing some video editing but never saw any Ram utilization reach or exceed 12 gigs. The video project was one that I had performed in the past and I didn't notice that it performed the task any quicker. I don't think any of this is the Rams fought I think it was just the limitation of the total hardware package.
