I love these things! I started out with these for training and it has worked so great I decided to keep using them. I have had to order them a few times because my dogs are very very energetic and pull each other's collars off often... they definitely are super smart...LOL But it's definitely not funny when they lose them in the creek... these collars are amazing at keeping the water out and work forever and I mean forever! I think I only charged the ones that are not lost in the creek or in the field, a couple times a year! I don't use it on thethe zappy selection. I don't need that. I'm glad I can take the little nubs off so they don't rub on the fur. My dogs all listen on the beep which is awesome and I love that. I do use the vibration at least once or twice if they are somewhere I can't see. I wish they would make those for horses and cows LOL... highly recommend will be buying them, if i need, for as long as I have dogs. I do wish they were a bit smaller but they're not really too big it's just on top of their other collar I feel that it's irritating to them... maybe it's just me. Oh just a side note I have found some of the ones that have been lost in the field and one in the creek and they do still work pretty amazing!

Easy to use and worth the money especially for multiple dog homes

I have 3 different sets of these running at the same time and have for the last 5 years. I have currently a pack of 6 and have fosters/boarders coming and going. Generally only use the beep/vibrate function as that is all my babies need for correction. The collars are generally waterproof, it is the remotes you should not be getting wet but honestly a little water won't hurt it. Also, I will say, mine wear them continuously. They are loose around their necks so there is no rubbing and recently removed the prongs cause they are not needed. They are easy to use and generally the battery lasts 2-3 month depending on amount of use. The only issue I have is them turning off after longer periods of non use. Couldn't recommend these more to someone with multiple dogs. I love the switch on the side to change between dog 1 and dog 2. The assortment of colors is helpful for knowing which dog is on which collar. Also programming to switch collars and remotes is SUPER EASY!!!

Worked well...until it didn't

I bought these for my two new pups, a now, 9 month old aussie mix and a 6 month old english bulldog mix so when they were actin' like fools and not focusing on what I was asking of them (stop chasing the cat! don't dig my plants!) I could give them a little buzz to get there attention. Now, when I say buzz, I mean the vibration mode. I do not believe in shock "training" so I never used it. Most of the time the audible beep was enough and if not, the vibration always did the trick. They worked extremely well until the remote stopped functioning properly. The toggle switch on the side basically stopped switching from one collar to the other so only one dog would ever receive the cues. Unfortunately this started after only 2.5 months. So in short, I would recommend something like this, just not sure it would be this particular product. (Also, please don't shock your pets. I assure you, with the correct training style, the vibration is plenty)

Perfect for 2 yrs but the remote just died completely. Idk what to do but, this is a great product!

I've had this collar for 2 years and up until a couple of days ago it worked perfectly. It helped completely change my dogs attitude without the worry of her feeling any pain from it. It's great that you can choose what mode and when to use it. The sound worked more than the vibration so I definitely recommend it! The collar is a little bulky, but I hava a Chiweenie so, of course it is! It worked for 2 years and the issue is just the remote. The collar still works but the remote no longer does. It will turn on for maybe 10 seconds then turn off. I've charged it so it's not the battery, it hasn't be damaged in any way, it just died? Do I have to buy an all new set or is there a way to just get the remote? I just don't need two more collars and it's kind of expensive so I'm hoping there's a way to get just a remote!

Read before buying!

These collars are awesome but as a dog mom I do have some things to consider before buying. We originally had the plain black pat pet electric collar but ended up getting another smaller dog so the receiver was too large. We got these because we wanted both our dogs on the same remote. Battery: felt that on the collars, it didn’t compete with the previous one we had, needs to charge it at least every 5 days while with the other ones by this brand we didn’t have to charge the collars until about 2 weeks after wear. The remote battery life is great though! Lasts forever. Size: they are really light weight, sleek and the purple color is awesome. We have a 20 lb dog and the size of the receiver is perfect for her neck. Functionality: we have a severely reactive rescue. The collar was essential in training with him because it was able to snap him out of defense mode so we could work on that behavior. With the previous collars by pat pet, I felt confident that it would do just that. With these ones I feel like the vibration is much lighter, the electric current is much weaker and then sound is so much quieter. All in all, I think these are great for a decent price but it also depends on what your use is. For our small dog with training it has been awesome, for our larger much more reactive dog I think we unfortunately are going to have to go back to the other model.

Great battery life.

This item works great. How ever do not leave it where your dog can step on the remote. My dog jumped up on the bed, landed on the remote and shocked himself. The battery rarely needs charging.
