I know both friends and family where toe only cooking knife in their kitchen is a paring knife. Not so in my kitchen, but that's them, I'm me. What you get is a set of four paring knives at a very good price. The knife blades are 4 inches long. They are a very thin blade, which is good for cutting vegetables, fruits and even meat. When it arrives, it is very sharp. I ran it on a honing strop anyway, i do this with all my new knives. The strop took the blade to razor sharp. Seriously, just as a test... a rather weird test. I used it to do the final bits of shaving with the honed paring knife. It worked! It did a great job. Now, I'm not suggesting anyone try this themselves, the blade isn't designed for that. I used it this morning to finely chop some onions, garlic and fresh herbs. It worked well for all three. The handle is plastic, and to be honest, some edges feel a little sharp. A quick sanding took off all the flash that was left on the handle, but that shouldn't be something the customer has to do. The knife blades are inexpensive but sharp and feels like a good quality blade. The handles need a bit of a touch up before they leave the factory, but otherwise they fit nicely in the hand and feel good while using them. The blades are about 1/16 inch thick and quite sharp. You get four of them. Exactly why someone would four paring knives, but whatever. They are delivered in a box with all four knives wrapped in bubble wrap. Each knife comes with a protective guard tip that slips over the point of the knife, and a thick plastic blade wrap. They are good blades, no question. I'll even forgive the plastic flash on the handle.

My wife wanted a new set of paring knives. So I picked up this set of 4 and she’s absolutely thrilled with them. I have to say, they’re pretty impressive for the price. These knives are well-made and feel solid in the hand. The stainless steel blades are sharp right out of the box and they’ve handled everything we’ve thrown at them so far... from slicing fruit to dicing up vegetables. One of the things that stands out about these knives is the handle. It’s large and sturdy with an ergonomic grip that makes them comfortable to hold. My wife has mentioned several times how much she appreciates the feel of the handle, especially since some other knives we’ve used in the past were a bit too slim or uncomfortable after a while. These definitely have a solid well-balanced feel to them, which makes cutting quick and easy. The set comes with four knives, all the same size, which is perfect for what we needed. I received a set of four identical paring knives. Total length per knife is eight inches. These are very light weight and sharp. I accidentally lightly ran one over my finger pad and didn't even realize I had cut myself until I saw the blood. I've used it to cut carrots, tomato, cheese, and an apple and it did a good job. My palm is about three inches across and they fit nicely in my hand. Overall I am happy with these knives.

The price, under $20, is excellent even without the current discount, for 4 paring knives. They come with the blades well protected since they are very sharp. I plan to rotate their use until they all need sharpening which should be a while but I hate picking up a knife to use only to find it in need of sharpening. The price is a good reason to pick these up but they are comfortable to hold, handle shape and weight wise, in addition to being sharp right out of the package. The only unknown for me is how they hold over time. I’ll wash and dry them immediately after use so they should be fine for quite some time.

The knives are excellently crafted with great materials, and balanced. The sharpness of the blades are perfectly done with spot on alignment. Washing by hand or in the dishwasher provide no issues.
