    • A genuine surprise!
Size: Guitar Only Color: Black
My expectations weren't high. I just wanted a guitar and didn't have much I could spend. I am blown away. This thing is better than the ibanez guitar I had, and that one cost nearly 500 bucks. It is also better than a beginner guitar. The sound is great. I may swap out the strings for some Ernie Ball's but that's just a personal preference and not really necessary. Also, I can't put it down. I take a break but find myself returning to it often. I love this guitar. Its also a great brand, one you'd never expect for a price like this. Buy this before the price goes up, because this one is worth more than what you are paying for it. You won't regret it. ... show more

    • Just not for me.
Size: Guitar Only Color: Black
I returned it. The guitar is just fine, just wasn’t what I was looking for. It is a solid guitar and I’d recommend it. I’m a Gretsch fan and it wears the label well considering the price point.

    • Amazing
Size: Guitar Only Color: Natural
Good quality so far. It's a huge size so takes some getting used to. Great sound! I know it will last long and strings it comes with are not bad for stock strings.

    • Not playable out of the box
Size: Guitar Only Color: Black
Meh! I love Gretsch so don’t get me wrong. I have all three of the Jim Dandy models and absolutely love them. I purchased this with a coupon so it was very inexpensive. I should have realized that that price tag would be reflected in the product. 1. Fret ends were wicked sharp and needed filing. 2. The frets themselves are a bit scratchy and uneven towards the sound hole. 3. Action was extremely low and the guitar was unplayable. If you want a ready to play guitar don’t buy this guitar. It is 100% not ready to play. I’m still working on setting this guitar up and getting it playable. For me it’s an opportunity to go through all the steps of setting up an acoustic guitar so it’s an education. The time that it’s taken me to do so may not equal the $. We will see. ... show more
