We're here to help Our support team is always ready to assist if you need a real human to help out Jan Sapper created this product because he wanted to work paperless. Two successful Kickstarters later, Paperlike now supports thousands of creatives and professionals just like you! We’ll show you the best way to install and care for your Paperlike. Step-by-step instructions and videos with everything you need to know are included in your purchase. Our online community is chock-full of resources to help you improve your digital art and notetaking skills. How can I avoid or remove bubbles when applying Paperlike? Trapped air can be removed by using the flat edge of a credit card to push the air pocket to the edge of the device. For best results when applying your Paperlike, be sure to follow the steps in our tutorial video which comes with your purchase. Can I use Paperlike on top of my glass screen protector? By placing your Paperlike on top of another screen protector, you could potentially see reduced responsiveness when touching your screen or working with your Apple Pencil. How can I clean my Paperlike? The best way to clean is with a bit of dish soap and a damp cloth or by using alcohol-based wipes and a lens cleaning solution. Apply liquids to the cloth and then use the damp cloth to wipe down your device. Avoid spraying your devices directly. How do I avoid scratches when using the Apple Pencil? Your Paperlike is designed to withstand friction from the Apple Pencil. If you’ve noticed scratches on your Paperlike, your Apple Pencil tip may need to be replaced. If you see a small, black dot at the end of your nib, it’s time to replace the tip! How do I get the initial Paperlike roughness back? To extend the life and usability of your Paperlike, be sure to clean it regularly. This will reduce the accumulation of oils and dust and restore the rough, textured feel of the product.

  • Brilliant, but painful to install flawlessly
Size: 10.5 Inch
Having to focus painstakingly hard on a perfectly flawless lint-free screen during the application is utterly nerve-racking, but once it has been applied (and if you get it >just< right), the PaperLike screen protector is a fantastic product that delivers a great paper-like feel. Definitely worth the cost, but losing the first of two covers due to two (2) super-tiny (nearly-invisible) pieces of lint (from the black cloth PaperLike provided) was heart-wrenching. Two thumbs up from me, but I strongly recommend having someone else around to examine and confirm the screen is perfectly free of any lint (no matter how tiny) before applying the screen protector. To the PaperLike QA Staff… I very strongly recommend that the cleaning cloth provided in the package be of a different color than black. A bright colored cloth, very easily seen (no matter how tiny it is) against the black screen would have saved me from losing my first cover the first time I installed the screen protector. (2x Updates 24 July 2022) 1. I was contacted by the PaperLike QC Team about my experience. Once I explained more detail about the lint from the black cloth provided in the package and provided evidence, their Representative chose to send me a replacement package, so hats off to their quality management team for doing their due diligence and sorting out my loss. 2. I’ve been using my PaperLike screen for a couple weeks now. It does exactly what they say it will do, providing the closest feel I’ve ever experienced using similar paper-like screen protectors. I’m an avid note-taker and have tried most other products on the market. None of them even come close to the PaperLike screen. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wishes to use their iPad Pro (or similar) for any handwritten notes or for drawing. Best regards, Frank ... show more

  • Great instructions, great tool
Size: 10.5 Inch
I was looking for a solution to pad and paper and realized that I could simply use my iPad. I have never been a fan of device overlays that attempt to reduce glare, so was worried. I also (maybe like most of you reading this) am irritated by bubbles and such underneath a screen protector. The instructional video is humerus but also informative. I suggest watching it one time through first and then watch it again while you're doing it. They say in the beginning to perform the task in a room where the dust has already settled, so take that to heart. The screen cover itself is unobtrusive and I did end up with a couple of dust particles, but they're in locations that I can ignore. You do get two screens in case you need to start over and install the second one. I wouldn't say writing on the surface with the Apple Pencil is equivalent to pen and paper, but it's better than without and I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Nib Destroyer
Size: 10.5 Inch
Absolute Waste of money :( This screen destroyed my Apple Pencil Tips and scratched SO easily. I kept blowing on my screen thinking there was hair on it only to learn it was just ANOTHER scratch :’( Went through both screens in less than 2 months and 5 Tips. I thought the iPad was just not very good at pressure recognition until I got a new screen (different brand) and realized how much Paperlike was holding me back. I feel like I have a whole new iPad without this screen. The best part about this screen was the packaging. I also didn’t realize how milky this brand was until I took the last screen off and placed it on just 1/2 way. It distorts the colors and dims the screens brightness so much more than I realized. Now I understand why none of the stickers I drew and created came in the mail in the correct colors :( As an artist I do NOT recommend this brand. ... show more

  • Good writing experience with a lot of trade-offs
Size: 10.5 Inch
For how much the PaperLike has been praised by reviewers and how some artists swear by it, I found it pretty disappointing. It really does feel great to write on— maybe not exactly like paper but definitely with more friction than on the bare glass— but there’s too many negative aspects for me to really enjoy using it. -Plenty of other reviews have mentioned this, but the installation process is a nightmare. It’s overly complicated and the protector is almost guaranteed to shift and pick up tons of dust. -Screen quality is noticeably reduced. This is the second version with “improved clarity”, but there’s still a huge drop in quality. Everything’s just a little bit fuzzy and grainy. It makes watching videos, browsing the web, or doing anything besides just writing that much more unpleasant. It actually makes drawing— the main reason I bought the PaperLike— harder, as I can’t see my work as clearly. -Screen sensitivity is also reduced. It’s not enough to make it impossible to use, but some lighter touches go unrecognized, and multi-touch gestures like zooming and rotating are a bit harder to pull off. -It doesn’t protect the iPad’s screen from falls like a tempered glass one would. To be fair, the creators have always been very open and honest about this fact, but it still makes me way more nervous carrying my iPad around or leaving it anywhere outside the very center of a table. -It wears down really, really quickly. The attached image is my protector after about a week of use, or about 20 hours of drawing and writing. For full-time professional artists or students who exclusively take handwritten notes, it’ll look even worse. Unless I have the brightness on my iPad turned way up, I can clearly see which areas are more worn down even when the screen is on. -Above all, it’s just too expensive. I was fine paying more for a “premium product”, but looking back I realize that while the PaperLike is a bit better than other matte protectors on the market, it’s not “$20 a pop” better. Most of the PaperLike’s problems— reduced clarity and sensitivity, no protection from falls, short lifespan— are not unique, but rather inherent problems of all matte screen protectors. For me personally, it’s just not worth it for a product that needs to be replaced on a regular basis anyway. I personally recommend that anyone wanting to try out a matte protector goes with a cheaper one first. I’m just going to go back to plain old tempered glass. ... show more
