So soft. I got this for my daughter for Christmas and I love it so much that I just bought another one for our nursery. When I unboxed it, I laid on it for a solid 5 minutes. This thing is what heaven must feel like.

It is very soft. Understand that this isn’t backed the same way as most carpets you’ll find in a store, with a stiff backing. The backing is a soft material with an anti skid texture that frankly doesn’t work. For example, you received this rolled up in a tight vacuum sealed package. Honestlly i was worried this was gona be a bad purchase, as the ideal shag rug id imagine has become unimaginable for me. But this is pretty damn close and i am satisfied with it. The fluff top isnt super dense but still full and airy, its very nice to the touch. I imagine years of board games and card games on this rug. 1 thing id pitch that could make this rug better. Just slightlly thicker padding or maybe a whole other layer under. (Maybe get with purple matris and make the purple rug! But the rug does feel like the padding under is a little absent, for anyone considering the purchase, their IS padding, its about a cm thick and it kinda feels like memory foam its not terible i just wish their was more. While the rug is super soft, it's very thin, however I returned it for a different reason: the chemical smell that came off this rug upon opening was so strong it gave me a headache. After two days of airing out the odor was just as strong. You get what you pay for.

Bought this as a gift for our daughter after reading tons of great reviews. It arrived rolled up and shrink wrapped in a tiny package. It was very light as well. I was actually pretty angry thinking we got the wrong item somehow. When my daughter opened the plastic and the rug expanded I was super relieved. She spread it out and LOVED it! The only reason I did not give these rugs 5 stars was due to the thin structure of the item. Color is vibrant and lovely (I am a purple person). The softness is excellent. The length (as you can see how it lays on the floor adjacent to my bed) is superb, especially since these were discounted pricing when I was shopping the Amazon website. Glad I purchased TWO. For the price I paid, a good investment. Now, the backing has some little "sticky" rubbery dots all over which do prevent SOME slippage, although not completely. Using a rug pad may be needed with children in a bedroom. I am cautious getting out of bed so this will not be problematic for me. I actually like they are not cumbersome rugs because now I can use my home washing machine and not have to lug heavy rugs to the laundromat. Overall, I do like these rugs. Not a significant rug if you're looking for substance but pretty anyway (see pictures). ... show more

I wanted two small bedside rugs since I moved into a place where the bedroom has hard floors. These rugs were significantly less expensive than other options I found, so I thought I would give them a shot. They arrived vacuum sealed, but quickly seemed to fluff up when spread out. They are still a bit thin, but definitely functional. I'm impressed that they haven't seemed to slip around much, although the top of the rug itself feels kind of slippery, if that makes sense. The texture of the rug is almost a bit too slippery/silky for my taste, but at least the rug seems to stay in place.
