These pens are absolutely perfect! They write super smooth, I've tried them all, and only one of the blue pens has skipped on me. They work great with quickly scribbling notes in class. I have went through several of these pens in the past & they always hold up well & the ink lasts a very long time. I've never had any of these pens leak any ink. The material on the outside of the pen is great for gripping them pen, it's almost like a silicone texture. They are slim pens so I can fit these almost anywhere, even in my wallet. I got these for a fantastic price as well! Theyre pens. They write. The colors are nice, and plentiful. No complaints. Sometimes the tips get clumpy but i store them pen tip down in a big coffee mug. Not too much smudging. I would buy them again.

My 10 year old loves color. So, for school, I bought her this 36 pack of gel pens that I believed were 36 different colors. I opened them as soon as they arrived. At first, in the bad lighting of my room, I didn't notice that there were duplicates. Last night, however, I took them out again, after I made my review of the metallic Paper Mates I purchased on the same order. I only removed the black one; I needed it to write the heading for the other review. Then, that's when I noticed that there were two blacks (one still had the waxed tip). Then I went back to the listing to see if I had misread it. Then, I saw what others had said about missing pens and duplicates. Then, I counted them all and put them in a rough color order. 1. I have 36 pens. 2. They all have waxed tips. 3. I have duplicates; as you can see in the photo I took of them. I am disappointed, but it's my fault for not paying closer attention to the ad. I called my 10 year old over, since I bought these pens for her, and asked her if she liked the color selection, or should we send them back? She said that the color selection was good, and that she's happy that she got duplicates of the colors she likes. So, we are keeping them. I looked back on the advertisement, and I can clearly see that it says: "assorted", and the photo of the pens shows what is listed, and I got the same colors exactly as listed, right down to exactly which colors are duplicates. As for how they write? I only used the black, and as you may know, once you take the wax bead off the tip, then you had better use the gel pens, or they will dry out and be wasted. It's not just this brand; it's all brands that have waxed tips. I've uploaded an example of my handwriting in the black pen that I used. I am not opening each and every one to test them out, because they are sealed for freshness. If I discover later, when my daughter goes to use each pen for school, that this is not the case, then I will come on here and lower my review accordingly. As you can see, the black ink writes smoothly. The metallic paper mates are scratchy and streaky, and really don't write as well on black as they claim. The color are pretty though. ... show more

    • The colors!
I love the variety of colors. Been using these pens for a long time, when I saw this pack, had to have them. I just use them to jot notes down for work, using a different color for different days to better visually track my notes. They're smooth and don't bleed through the note pads.
