  • More capable that I know what to do with
I love my Lumix S5IIX. I'm only using the kit lenses and I am new to photography and video, but this in so fun to use. I've taken it on a couple trips to Europe and it's been the perfect camera on bikes and scenic walks. It's a full frame in a perfect sized body. I am coming from an old DSLE, but this feels light and still fits in my bigger hands. No issues with battery life even when I predominantly use the LCD view screen. More features than the competition and the L mount lense offerings are growing. ... show more

  • Best value for money full frame camera
I love this camera. The amount of features you get for the money are absolutely unmatched. I got this with the 20-60 and 50mm for just $2200, you can't get anything similar from other brands. Another great thing about this camera is that it does not overheat no matter how long you shoot. Buyer beware though, Panasonic recently released a firmware update that removed a live stream feature from the camera yet they are still advertising that the camera has it. That is the live stream via Ethernet cable, this feature is what gets you the best picture quality in live streams and now it has been removed from ALL s5iix cameras, not just Europeans versions. ... show more

  • Great camera! Cool kit options!
Cool camera! This is my first mirrorless and I feel like it takes great pictures and video. Learning it has been fun, still a lot more to go but great quality and love that the lenses are not as much as competitors. I got the 20-60 and 85mm with it for the cost of the body from competitors, great value, crystal clear lenses. I’m very impressed. ... show more

  • Fit, finish, build quality and controls are top notch
Relatively new to this level of DSLR, actually this is my first mirrorless AND full sensor hybrid camera. Exploring all the functions and capabilities of the camera will be a journey that I’m looking forward to. The few images and video I’ve taken are impressive. The auto focus, internal stabilization is impressive and the lenses are high quality and ultra quiet. No regrets moving from Canon to the LUMIX. ... show more

  • Excelente camara.
... show more

  • Battery Life Below Average
So I’ve had this camera a little over a year. I got it because I originally had a GH5 and wanted continuity. The lenses don’t actually carry over so if you’re coming from a GH5 there isn’t really a reason to stick with Panasonic unless you really like the interface. Probably my biggest complaint is that the battery life is below average. Even with basic usage, I find myself needing to carry multiple spares just to get through a full day of shooting, which adds unnecessary weight and costs and is just annoying. The autofocus isn’t great but it’s a lot better than some people make it out to be. It’s definetly a lot better in low light than my GH5. All in all it’s solid if you LOVE Panasonic. But there are comparable cameras on the market you should look at as well if you don’t want to be locked into the Panasonic ecosystem. ... show more
