  • A Powerful, Reliable Camera That Delivers Every Time
Style: w/ 20-60mm Set: Base
I have been using the panasonic Lumix S5II for a few weeks now, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The autofocus is fast and reliable, even in low light, and the image quality is incredibly sharp with beautiful colors straight out of the camera. The in-body stabilization is a lifesaver for handheld shooting, and the overall build feels solid but not too heavy. I also love how intuitive the menu system is it didn’t take long to get comfortable with all the settings. Whether you’re shooting photos or video, this camera feels like a huge upgrade and totally worth the investment. ... show more

  • Nice, east-to-use, video camera
Style: w/ 20-60mm Set: Base
I have a few video cameras, mostly intended for serious use and requiring the videographer to make most adjustments manually. What I wanted was something with more automation that would work well for situations in which I didn't want to spend a lot of time setting the camara's parameters for the particular shooting situation. I also wanted something that worked reasonably well hand held without a gimbal. Ths fits the bill. I haven't put it through all of its paces but both the autofocus and image stabilization seem to be a cut above what's available in similar cameras at a comparable price point. Also the size and form factor make it an easy and incospicuous camera to operate. The image quality is also quite good, with natural-looking colors and proper saturaton. As I said, I haven't used it yet in highly demanding situations. But from what I've seen so far, I feel that I can safely recommend this camera for shooting very good quality videos without the need for a lot of ancillary equipment to assist with focusing or image stabilization. If I couldn't lug a tripod or set up a camera cage with a wireless focus pull motor and were shooting a non-stationary subject, this would easily be my choice from among the several cameras I own. That's not to say that it wouldn't work well on a tripod or gimbel (sits relatively mall size is a great advantage here) or fitted out with a cage and attachments. But those things really aren't as necessary for this cameras as they are for some other high-quality video cameras. My five-star rating is qualified by the fact that I haven't had the camera very long or used it across a wide range of situations. So I can't say that it works magnificently in every scenario or that it will last nearly forever. But I don't know that those things aren't true, either. And based on what it has been used for so far, it does just what I want. ... show more

  • Amazing straight out of the box and then some.
Style: w/ 20-60mm Set: Base
This camera is the perfect camera for its price point in regards of what it has to offer. Most people (Me included) may look at the kit lens for any camera and frown upon it for its variable aperture. HOWEVER, this kit lens is amazing and produces a soft cinematic look straight out and is all around good for photography and video (Depending on your line of work). For me, it helped me make a short film (using the kit lens) and made a spot in my college's Media Art Showcase earning a standing ovation. If you don't believe me, please look at the Youtube reviews for the Lumix S5ii and the S5IIX. They are CAPABLE and STILL holds up to what is desired in 2025's climate for client work. Sure the Sony A7V and Canon R6 MkIII released in quarter 4 of 2025, but in comparison and what YOU would expect to use it for. It is STILL a contender for client work, school work, professional photography, professional videography, and etc. You name it. What also sells this camera is it's Lens mount ecosystem, you have the L mount alliance which has support from Sigma, Leica, Panasonic, and new members like Viltrox, Black magic design, and many more. If you are still iffy about this camera, all I ask is please search on YouTube about this camera and how it holds up to the Sony FX3 and FX30 along with the cinema features it has. It is really good for its price point. ... show more

  • As a wedding photographer, I love it
Style: Body Only Set: Base
I purchased this camera back in May 2025. I wanted something within the l-mount series and fell in love with Panasonic’s line. I’ve shot about 10 weddings and 3 engagement session with it. With it being super light weight, wedding days have felt so much easier on the wrist. Battery life is great, ~3-4 hours on each battery with constant use. It’s small, in a good way, and functions exactly how I need it to. It feels durable. Super beginner and pro friendly. I recommend the 35mm 1.8 from the Lumix line. ... show more

  • My first camera and I love everything about it
Style: w/ 20-60mm Set: Base
This camera came heavily recommended by so many people and I have to say im very happy with it. While I have no way to compare to other cameras in this price range I haven't found myself wanting more that this camera doesnt offer. It has great video features and takes beautiful photos.. Im not even good and getting good quality pictures. Camera stabilization features are very good and everything from the construction and feel of the camera is quality. Theres are lot to love but I do have a few problems that i havent quite figured out how to address. -I have made a lot of configurations but I just cant get them to get saved. I have to constantly load my settings every time I turn on the camera and its really nuisance. Luckily the menu always stays on load when its prompt. -The camera gives features to lock all functions but only when recording.. would be nice if you could do it while photographing. Not sure how to do it if it isnt the case. I read the whole guide and didnt find anything on how to address this issue. ... show more
