LUMIX g7 is fine for both video and photo with slight issue on auto focus and stabilization, need to get used to it, overall the camera satisfies my need to record/take decent videos and photos . But accessories that came with the package is not impressive. Included in the package cost are extra two batteries with charger (KOAH) which are garbage. When it’s plugged for charging, the indicator does not lit up at all, so you won’t know if it’s charging or not. I left it plugged for hours and used it, worked only for a few photos and videos then it drained. It’s not a good idea buying a package as most of the extras are garbage. ... show more

I'm extraordinarily pleased with this camera. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but I'd gotten to the point at which I wanted my photography and videography to advance beyond what my previous equipment could accomplish. It would be possible, of course, to buy a much more expensive camera, but I'm quite pleased with this one. It's simple enough to be functional right out of the box without much know-how, yet adaptable enough to suit more sophisticated needs. The auto-focus feature (particularly for video) has received some criticism. And fair enough. It's far from perfect. More expensive cameras can do better. If you're interested in manual focus, this won't matter at all. If autofocus is an important feature for you, you should be aware that while it does work, it's not quite as "smart" as it could be, and for best performance you'll want to either get your focus and then keep the action in the same position or tweak the focus manually as you film. With regard to video, you should also be aware if you're shooting in 4K (which you probably should be, since this camera can do so) that if your video files become too large, the camera will automatically split the video into multiple files. I've not noticed any lost data when stitching the videos back together during editing, but it's a potential concern you should be aware of. More frustrating, the camera will automatically stop filming after shooting for 30 minutes in 4K. While I seldom come up against this limitation, the fact that the limitation exists at all is a point against the camera. I've been told this feature can be "unlocked" by tinkering with the settings but I haven't yet tried it to confirm whether or not that's possible. Overall, though, I'm quite pleased with the camera. I've been getting a lot of use out of it for both still photography and for video, and I'm pleased in both circumstances and recommend the product highly. With regard to this particular set of accessories, we have more of a mixed bag. The extra telephoto lens is a great addition, as is the large memory card. The camera bag is not an expensive one but it's perfectly functional. Same goes for the tripod (though I'm not using it because I have larger and heavier duty ones already). It's certainly nice to get everything you need right out of the box. However, you should be aware that the two other lenses included (the wide angle and telephoto adapters) don't actually fit this camera. The lenses for this camera are 46 mm and these two lenses (and the set of three filters for them) are 52 mm. This isn't a difficult problem to solve. There are adapters on the market which will allow you to use these lenses. I've purchased one, and everything works just fine. The lenses themselves are functional. But the necessary adapter is not included in this set. With a price tag of $650, I expect to receive a kit of accessories that comes complete with everything necessary to make the accessories work with the camera. Ultimately, I'd give the camera a 5-star rating and the accessory kit a 3-star rating. I average them together and award four stars. ... show more

The hdmi cable sent did not fit the G7. The one pictured is smaller than the one I received. I started the return process but I did not return it in the time frame so there would have been a $200 restocking fee for a cable that costs $7.

Product didn't come with the two extra lenses for wide and macro photography, several of the cords it came with didn't fit anything supplied and it came with duplicates of the UV lens'. This definitely was not worth buying over just the base body.
