This particular lens is good for slow shooting in decent light. I realized after purchase that this lens is a first edition version. I am still happy with it and it does work for certain shoots I do. Such as B&W street photography (Samples in the images uploaded) so over-all I will keep using it. It is not a fast lens and cannot shoot rapid succession with a more modern camera (I have a Lumix G9) and this lens stutters to keep up fast shooting. Over-all I like the lens. ... show more

really enjoy using this lens, for the price you get decent image quality and a nice look. I almost always use this lens in my videos and is perfect for wide shots, if your on a budget this is a great lens for a bmpcc 4k.

I was a little cautious purchasing this "Japanese" version as I wasn't sure of what all exactly that entailed. However, the only difference is that the manual that comes with the lens is in Japanese, that's all! All the writing on the lens is English. My lens was shipped from Japan to Amazon HQ and then again from Amazon HQ to my house. Overall, it took about six days from ordering to receive the lens on the East coast. Out of the box, the lens is in NEW condition with that "new" smell and upon inspecting both sides of the lens element, it was just as clean as I hope for. As far as performance, the lens itself is housed in high-quality plastic. But don't be put off by the plastic. It has a very solid feel all around and the action on the focusing and zoom are smooth as butter. I'm using this on a Panasonic GH4. Do yourself a favor and save yourself $85+ by buying this Japanese import as opposed to the American version. ... show more

Very good condition, thanks to the seller. This lens was very interesting at all, Tested on GH4 the image quality are very sharp, good peaking, good stabilisation, the zoom range make it versatile and allow more creative shoots, the autofocus work great than my canon 700D, the lens is lightweight and very good for use with gimbal. I definitely appreciate this lens for shooting music videos but for weddings or events need 1.8 or lower lens. ... show more
