Don't expect it to be a weed-wacker, but the vacuum is effective. Age came with as much ear hair as my grandfather. My focus was to be able to get rid of that hair, and not have all of that stubble inside my ears to carefully get out with Q-tips. I really like the trimmer and it worked great until suddenly it quit andnew batteries didn't help. I will just have to buy another one since there was no service policy.
