I got these landlines for my mom. Technology is not her thing even tho she uses her iPad constantly and loves texting and email, correspondence is her thing. Land lines vs cell phones are her thing, too. I always wonder if it will be a Hero or Zero when I order new the microwave, tv, (medical alert bracelet is in the mail) and these phones. I am a Hero on 3 and I think the 1 button wrist alert bracelet will be a winner, too. That's 4 in a row... no easy feat, as my mother is exact on what she wants and likes. She loves the phone. It has a call block button and she loves to click them when a spam call comes in. She can hear clearly and it works great in every way a landline should. Oh and the numbers are big and light up when making a call. Very easy to use phones. Thanks Panasonic.

This phone is so easy to set up and use. The large numbers are great for a 71 Year old Eyes LOL It's light weight, and fits comfortably in the hand. Since I just received this phone, I can't say how the battery life is but it keeps a good charge after the required 7 hour charge time when first setting it up. The answering machine is easy to use. It takes up very little space on a office desk, which my old phone failed to do. The instruction manual clearly explains how to maneuver between programs in the Menu mode. The Call Block is great for those annoying telemarketer calls. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the quality and selling price of this unit.

As a caregiver for my elderly mom, I was constantly worried about her being bombarded by spam calls. We decided to try the Panasonic Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TGE633M) in Metallic Black, and it's been a game-changer! Here's a detailed breakdown of its features and how they've benefited us: Pros - Advanced Call Blocking - This has been the biggest win for us. We were able to easily program the phone to block numbers from our mom's caller ID history, as well as implement Panasonic's built-in call blocking features. This has significantly reduced the number of unwanted calls she receives, giving her much-needed peace of mind. ( any number that calls her phone that is not associated with a person or business is blocked, which are mainly 'robo calls' and are dangerous for elderly because they have a tendency to talk with them vs hanging up immediately and can cause confusion and potentially financial harm ) Bilingual Caller ID - This feature is fantastic. We can easily switch between English and Spanish for caller ID displays, making it easier for my mom to identify incoming calls. High-Contrast Display- The large, high-contrast display is perfect for seniors. The numbers and text are clear and easy to read, which is a huge improvement over her old phone's tiny screen. Amplified Handset Volume - The handset volume can be easily adjusted, which is helpful for those with hearing limitations. My mom can now hear calls clearly without any trouble. Answering Machine with Large Capacity - The answering machine has a generous recording capacity, allowing callers to leave detailed messages. It's also very user-friendly, and my mom can easily access and manage her messages. Two Handsets with Easy Charging - The phone comes with two handsets, perfect for placing one in a central location and another near where my mom spends most of her time. Got these to replace an old Uniden set which we liked, but these we like even better. The keypad is larger which assists older eyes and the display is larger too. Key pushes are crisp. Speaker phone function is easy and works well - microphone is sensitive and can pick up someone who isn't right next to the phone. I've used call block once and discovered that you can activate it during the call or after the fact from the menu recalling the number and adding it to call blocking. The basic menu functions are fairly easy. I programmed in for speed dialing the most common numbers we use and there are multiple directory groups you can assign numbers two (I did group 1 for family and group 2 for others). There are 9 groups total should you need that many group categories and a menu option to simply scroll through "All Groups" should you forget which group you put a particular number in. From the menu you can select the specific group you want and scroll right to the name and number to auto dial it. There appear to be more sophisticated menu options/functions (e.g. baby monitor) accessibly by number codes which are printed in the extensive paper instruction manual under the function being discussed, that most likely I won't ever use, but they are there. The answering machine keys are well labeled and function in an obvious way. Messages can be retrieved via the handsets using the menu options. My Unidens used to flash a light on the handset when a message was left, but not so on these Panasonics, but it isn't difficult to just check for messages with the handset by using the menu option. Haven't encountered any reception issues. Batteries appear to be "rechargable AA) size. Overall we are pleased with this portable phone set and believe it was a good choice.

We are one of the few people with a landline, mainly for my mom and because we've had the same phone number for like 40 years. Our previous phone was just getting old and more importantly the previous phones did not have block on them, they were old. With all the spam calls and telemarketers these days, a block feature is kind of a necessity. Just a few weeks in and already the phone rings so much less, because we've been blocking those nuisance calls. I was concerned about the volume, as some folks said the volume was too low. We do not find that to be the case, it's more than loud enough. Even for my mother who refuses to get hearing aids. All the features work as they should, call's get record fine. No complaints so far. Great system, good price, would recommend.
