  • Very nice phone with lots of features
Style: 5 Handsets
I bought this 5 handset phone to replace a similar, but very old, Panasonic 5 handset phone. I was happy with the old phone, but some of the old handsets started to fail (no screen or keytone) and could not be remedied with new batteries or other troubleshooting steps. So far, I'm very happy with this replacement. It was easy to install and setup. Of course, the 99 page manual is a bit daunting, but it is actually comprehensive and understandable. Keep it in a safe place since you may need to refer to it. Another reviewer mentioned they didn't like the wall mount. It does stick out a bit more than my old phone, but it's fine. I don't even notice the difference at this point. One initial oddity was that when an incoming call came in, I could hear a ring in the bedroom, but not elsewhere. The Panasonic phones rang on the second ring. Turns out that is a built in feature. It's supposed to delay on the first ring in order to screen "one ring" calls. It was an old conventional landline phone that rang on the first ring. I turned off the first ring block so all phones now ring on the first ring. It wasn't a big deal, just an oddity. I can't say for sure whether the 14,000 call block feature actually works. But I don't get many robocalls anyway. Some calls are identified by my provider as "spam risk", but I never answer those calls. I may start adding them to the "call block" feature, although that may get tedious. One annoyance: When listening to a recorded message on a handset (as opposed to the base unit), there is no "erase" option like on my old handsets. When the message is playing you have to hit "pause" and then "menu." That makes no sense. Fortunately, there is a key shortcut - *4 - you can hit to quickly erase the message. I have not used the cell-link feature. I'm not sure I see a need to answer my cell using a handset. However, I may try it out at a later time. Overall, I'm very happy with this Panasonic phone system and hope it lasts as long as my prior Panasonic phone. ... show more

  • 14,000 blocked numbers & I can add another 3,000 blocked numbers
Style: 3 Handsets
Why didn't I choose something more important, for the headline. Because we already owned a very similar phone system from Panasonic, that we had approximately 10 years. This phone system is excellent. The newer system makes it easier to block calls but otherwise the features are very similar. It was easy to set up and worked the first time. I added 440 phone numbers from my iPhone 16 and it took only 3-4 minutes to copy them. Why did I tell you about the iPhone 16? Because Panasonic said they didn't know if it would work with the new phones, as it hadn't been certified for this system. We bought this new system because we thought the base unit had died. It turned out to be the VOIP box from Verizon that failed. We kept the new system because of the age of our old system, but otherwise it would still be working. ... show more

  • Easy Set Up
Style: 5 Handsets
This was easy to install. The 14,000 pre-programmed blocked numbers is a fantastic element. I haven’t received one erroneous phone call since the new phones were put in! I always buy Panasonic, I believe it is a quality brand of phones. So far I am not disappointed. I like the large buttons on the handsets, it makes it easier to dial. I am satisfied with the price point, overall phone performance, the handset size, zero static, and readability. The reason for the four stars: the cradle or the number one phone continuously beeps at regular intervals. I’ve poured over the troubleshooting portion of the provided pamphlet; However, not one scenario applied or worked for my constant ‘beep’ from the cradles vicinity. Annoying 🤨 ... show more

  • Always get Panasonic!
Style: 5 Handsets
We love the features and the quality of the Panasonic cordless phones. Our last set of over 10 years we just replaced. My only complaint is that it seems the new set as a lower volumn on speaker then our 10 year old set did. Not completely horrible but I can tell the difference. One nice new feature is the announcement that the handset makes when it needs to be charged. Pretty cool. No more grabbing a dead phone. ... show more

  • Okay Not what it used to be
Style: 5 Handsets
The phones do work, and it is easy to block calls. I love that they already have numbers blocked. They look nice, and you can see the display when you pick up the handset. Panasonic sure went downhill. Very disappointed with the quality and how hard it is for a senior to set up this phone. Cons: 1. When the handset is on the base it is very hard to see the screen. 2. The message on the front cannot be changed and instead of saying new message like the old Panasonics it says Voicemail message via phone company. 3. This is not a phone for seniors or people who are hard of hearing. You can barely hear the person talking especially on speakerphone 4. The volume does not go very high. 5. The instruction book is a joke. No senior is going to be able to set up the phone with that. Very small print and so many unnecessary things. 6. The instruction book does not contain ALL the info you need to set up the phone, so you have to keep going back to a card that was included with the phone. ... show more
