This iron is awesome! Things I love about it- No pesky cord dragging across my project/fabric. Heats up quickly. It gets/stays hot enough to remove wrinkles from cotton. The steam function works fabulously. It's easy to remove and fill/empty the water chamber. It's okay to fill with tap water as long as you don't have hard water. It's lightweight and easy to carry. I love that both ends are pointed so it's easy to get into tight spots. This particular model stays on for 30 minutes before the auto-off function kicks in. I was at a quilting retreat and several of the other quilters attending the retreat had this cordless iron and raved about it. Although I was a bit skeptical about this, I thought I'd give it a try and I LOVE it!!!! It stays hot for a nice long time, it's lightweight enough that it's easy to use, but heavy enough that it irons the quilt seams without me having to really press down hard. And the best part? I don't have to fight with a cord as the quilt top I'm working on gets bigger! I told my sister how much I liked this iron, and she purchased one and is just as happy with hers as I am with mine. Sure, you have to put it back on the "base" to reheat, but literally takes seconds to do that, and even with "regular" irons, you have to put them down to reposition the quilt, clothing, etc. you're ironing, so that's really a moot point. Although this iron costs more than many other irons on the market, it's really worth the extra money. Try it; I know you'll love it as much as I do! ... show more

Ironed dampened linen, cotton and cotton/poly blend garments with and without steam. Worked best with damp cotton on full steam. Did well with all, but didn't handle wrinkles as well as my corded Panasonic iron. Easy to use. Didn't "spit" or leak. No cord to drag and muss-up just-ironed areas. Has lots of moving parts that I fear will fail with use. Previous irons failed because of cord shorting or ironing board falls. I'm hoping this one will do well with sewing projects, steaming and pressing small items. Will use my corded iron for most clothes. FYI: I've recently ordered 3 small appliances from Amazon. All had been repackaged and/or used. This iron was missing packaging and registration card, but looked unused. Hoping it will be worth the price! ... show more

This iron is so great! I use it for quilting. It is solid but not too heavy, the points at each end are great for seams, it heats up well and glides smoothly and it feels good in my hand. Other irons have the temperature dial in a place where it's easy to bump it and accidentally change temperature. I recently started a longarm quilting and design business and I sew and use my iron daily. My old one died in a rather spectacular fashion so I was looking for something quilters recommended. This one had a lot of independent reviews of working quilters so I thought I'd try it out. So far I love the stainless steel plate (no more ceramic for me) and the cordless feature is nice as well. Eventually, I may look into a more commercial-type ironing system (separate steam container) but this works well for piecing and prepping for the longarm and I could see it being nice to take on a retreat. Definitely can recommend to anyone who sews/quilts and irons regularly. UPDATE: still like the cordless feature but the steam/water doesn’t really work and it doesn’t seem to get hot enough to do a very good job. It might be nice to take for travel but I think I’m going to go with a better steam iron for my everyday use in the studio. ... show more

I am a quilter and love the dual sides of this iron. The fact that it is cordless and rest on base to charge and cord doesn't get in way when pressing blocks is a major plus. Perfect size and weight for repeated use getting seams flat. The larger water reservoir is a great feature. Like that it is able to be removed for easy filling.
