The Panasonic video baby monitor with camera and audio lets you keep an eye on baby with the freedom to roam your house, even go outside. Using long-range, interference-free DECT technology, you can monitor children from up to 1500-feet away, with a private, secure connection. The KX-HN4101W includes a bright 3.5-in. color monitor and easy controls that sync to a wide-eyed, wall- mountable monochrome night vision camera in the baby's room or anywhere (expandable up to four cameras). Control camera remotely to pan, tilt, and zoom or play gentle, soothing sounds including white noise or lullabies. A long-life, built-in battery in monitor stores power for up to 13-hours standby time and up to 5-hours of continuous use. Smart motion sensor alerts you when the baby is awake or crying and temperature sensor sends alerts if room is above or below a pre-set range. Sensors sound a chime, illuminate a LED on baby video monitor, and display notifications. Microphones and speakers in both video camera and baby camera monitor enable 2-way talk. Compact design makes it easy to pack the portable baby monitor into your weekend bag. I have used this for 9 months now, I was worried after reading some negative reviews before I bought it of saying how the battery is bad, how the whole thing died after only a few months of use, etc. However, I am pleasently surprised, when I put my little one to sleep in the evening I sometimes stay up for a really long time and the battery holds out for around 4-5 hours. Night vision and picture in general is good, nothing over the top, but not needed for the schere purpose of knowing if the baby is still asleep or has woken up. Sound is good. You can pretty much adjust every and anything. It has music that can play remotely, change camera angles remotley (if your little one wanders around the crib like ours), you can adjust alerts as well. The only thing that might be off is the thermometer l, sometimes it shows a higher temp by 5, 6 degrees, which can be confusing at first, just keep an eye on that still. Maybe it's just ours that has a slight malfunction, but the settings for temp alerts can be changed as well. All in all would totally recommend, it's a reasonable price compared to others and has worked well so far. ... show more

Received AC adapter for Camera. Adapter was not working. Used an AC adapter with the correct voltage/current and Camera started working. Did not receive AC adapter for monitor. Tested monitor on my own USB battery pack and monitor works well. Received mounting base as well. Returning and ordering again in hopes that my next "open box / Like New / original packaging" will have all the pieces fully functional or be able to interchange to get a good set for the price. ... show more

Much much better range than our last 2 monitors. One was the top competition for this one in terms of range too. It’s not close. This one is better in every way, from the long range, to the mounting bracket, to the actual monitor you watch your baby on. The motion and sound detection alerts are great. The ability to customize them is also a nice touch. I finally feel like I got a monitor that is modern. Worth the extra dough for sure. It’s a good looking camera too. If you have to put one of these on your kid’s wall you might as well have one that looks nice. Many reviews I read said the screen battery did not last long, but I have found the opposite to be true. I really enjoy this baby monitor. The only thing I dislike is the sound quality of the lullaby features they have & the camera quality. It’s fuzzy and not that clear. And the lullaby sound is raspy. Otherwise I enjoy the monitor

We purchased this item 18 months ago. We have it mounted on the wall, which makes the viewing angle.. special, for the most part, but doable. The pan and tilt is a nice function but does leave a blind spot if you are trying to mount it above the bed. We just pulled the crib away from the wall a few inches and all was fine. We are now running into issues with it "charging" and sometimes it says there is an error. When you unplug it, it shuts off but turns back on when the charger is reconnected. Not a dealbreaker. Battery life is meh, especially at this point. It only lasts a few hours with no movement if it's not charging - but then again, I have a toddler now so it's really a moot point. We don't need the monitor all day long for a gazillion naps a day anymore. The zoom is okay, I rarely use it since we have it mounted above the bed. Motion detection and noise alerts are adjustable and work well, there is a constant volume on it if you have a noise machine going. To get it to stay quiet, you'll need to shut the volume off which may or may not work for some people but the screen lights up when there is movement or noise above the set threshold. The "extended" range is a joke. I'm sure it works better than others but by no means is this gonna get you very far. I can usually go outside and about 4 houses down (very close houses) before I start having issues. The main point of this "long range" was really to be able to walk to our bus stop and pick up the other kid if one was napping, it doesn't work. So I basically facetime an ipad and set up a stream from there to make sure everything is okay from my phone since they're secure in their crib. It works all the way through the house and into the yard so there's that, but we have a very small lot so if you have some land - you may not get the same mileage. Overall, not a bad purchase it has absolutely done it's job for this long and I'm not upset with this purchase. It definitely stretched the distance further than our first one that was a knock off video monitor. I prefer this one over that for sure but did wish it had a bit more range. Oh, but the temperature monitor is absolutely not accurate. We have a thermostat dot in the room after the monitor kept telling us it was 86 in there (it wasn't). ... show more
