I have purchased and wasted lots of money going thru several thermometers in the last couple of years trying to find one that is actually somewhat accurate and FINALLY found one. This one is dead on!! Occasionally I see it going off about .1 off; but I will take it. I can trust it showing me what the temp actually is in my aquarium. So easy to read. After a few months parts of the digital display stopped working so you had to guess the temperature. After just over a year it stopped working completely.

I'm giving this a good rating but I never really used it. I bought it with the express purpose of using it for air temperature, but it needs water to work right. Stupid me. I had to return it. I didn't test it in water but the quality device appears to be excellent.

You don’t have to push a button to see what the temperature is however, it does mount on the inside of the aquarium. The suction cups are on the back, so I’m assuming you have to stick it on the backside of your aquarium and look all the way through your aquarium to see it. I have too many plants in my aquarium for that I took the clear plastic suction cup (attached to the cord) and turned it around so that I can mount it up against my front glass. I have some concerns of not being able to see it well through possible algae buildup on the outside, but I’ve only had it for a couple of days so not a problem so far. ... show more
