Great replacement springs for 2 car garage door, 31-243-2. Spring were shipped and received quickly. Box contained both Right and Left springs which were clearly marked. Also included were 2 torsion bars, grip gloves and instructions. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Torsion bars were better than the ones I previously bout to take the old springs off. Springs were easily installed and garage works perfect and way better than before. The only difference was the castings on the stationary cones were a little thicker than the ones I replaced so I had to get 2 longer bolts to secure bothe stationary cones. Great springs for a DYI project which saved hundreds of dollars if I would have had a contractor install.

Had a garage door spring break that I had a professional install a few years back for way more than the cost of these. Installation was very easy, just take your time and watch a video or 2. There is some danger to installing these as you are adjusting the spring to create tension for the assisting of lifting a heavy door. Do not try to install unless you watch some install videos and feel confident in your ability to do it. Good quality and fit perfect. Fixed the issue and has stood up to the constant opening and closing of the door well..

Great quality springs. I installed the two springs which my door have one spring springs were a little too strong so I just use one and save the other one for later if something happens to the spring, but works perfect easy to install.

i bought these because the spring on my door broke and i decided to switch from 1 spring to 2. However, i couldn't get it to adjust correctly, hence i'm not a garage door professional, so i just unhooked 1 of them and used the other. It has worked flawlessly for several months now and was easy to install, just watch on Youtube how to do it. Don't do it yourself unless you have some mechanical ability though because garage door springs can be dangerous if you arent careful. But i'm an amateur and i did it myself.

They seem nicely manufactured, but as noted by some other reviewers, one of the holes in both winding cones is too small in diameter to fully insert the provided winding rods. However, it's an easy fix, just run a 1/2" drill bit lightly/slowly down the hole, or use a dremel-like tool to ream it out a bit. I also recommend wrapping or marking the rods so you can confirm full insertion during winding/unwinding. The provided gloves are decent quality and fit my large hands. The instructions are adequate, but just barely. Watch some of the numerous videos of the process on YT. Because of the defect and "just okay" instructions I'm dinging one star.

Bought a slightly better torsion spring to replace my right spring that broke in half. I never replaced this before but I am above average doing handyman work. Watched a couple of YouTube videos and I was ready to go. Item arrived within a couple of days. Nicely packaged. Came with everything in the picture. Quality feels and looks good. Assemble of item was 6/10 difficulty. Watch videos and be careful when releasing tension on spring. Take your time with that. After install, the garage went up easily manually and stayed up on its own. Attached the arm and tested going up and down, everything works great. I went one size up from my original. 10k cycles to 16k. I taped my winding bars to make sure the bar goes all the way into the slot, preventing any unnecessary accidents.

One morning we went to open the garage door and heard the loud, dreaded... "TWAAANG!". This was the sound of one of the two springs snapping resulting in a door that had zero interest in opening. We called the "Call Us" number for garage door repairs and hearing how much the new set of springs was going to cost (advice: make that call sitting down...) decided to give it a go ourselves as the springs via Amazon were surprisingly reasonable . Upshot? These springs came with all the stuff we needed, including nice gloves and very clear instructions, and in about an hour we saved at least $250. Plus the springs were delivered very quickly. Zero complaints and would buy these springs from this supplier again.
