I received this product in the timeframe posted, & in brand new condition. I LOVE THIS BOOK! Claudia Nice, the author, describes, in detail the techniques & steps she took to achieve the beautiful colored pictures of paintings that she has done. She provides a step-by-step description of colors to use, & the materials necessary to achieve your own beautiful artwork. I am half-way through the book, received it while I was traveling, & cannot wait to begin, with her guidance, trying out the techniques she avidly describes in her book. I've really enjoyed Paianting with Watercolor, Pen & Ink. I had never used pen and ink before with watercolor. I'm so pleased with the way it makes things "pop" in my pictures. That little extra detail makes such a difference. I was so impressed with this book and had shared it with a friend. She had to have a copy for herself.     • A must have guide for water color artists beginner to advanced.
Claudia Nice is a wonderful, informative teacher and her book is loaded with great examples of water color techniques that make it easy to follow. She is inspirational and her work sets a great example for perfecting one's own approach to using water color as a paint medium.

This book contains several instructions that are in her other books. Should have noticed the first words - "painting with watercolor". It seemed to have more instruction on painting than pen and ink. Her illustrations are beautiful however actual instructions are lacking.

I love Claudia Nice books, so much attention to detail, so simple and easy to follow, and really down-to-earth explainations. Her work is absolutely beautiful. Great book for the novice and advanced artists. All books that I've ordered on Amazon.com have been quality and extremely helpful in my advancement from novice to advanced artist. Claudia Nice's teaching technique instructions and use of pen & ink in this book are great. The picture shown is not the actual cover of the book I ordered or received. The one I ordered is the book with the little bottles, small critter, flowers, berries & marbles on the cover. I think they did this cover the same as another because reviewers said this book and the one I ordered are the same book except the one I ordered has extra info and is better. Anyway, if you order the one I did get, you can tell the difference by the number of pages and weight. The one I ordered and received is heavier and more pages to it. When you get the book, the cover will be different then the one pictured. ... show more
