Admittedly, I didn't really read the reviews. I bought to draw just a few lines to make my own chalkboard calendar. I didn't plan on using it for more than that. When I went to draw the second or third line, the tip felt out on the board and left permanent smudges :( I did try to wipe it quickly, and some came off, but... sigh.
